Carson's Machine
developed their unique sound by combining two musicians who tell a story in distinctly different and diverse ways:
Steve Penny as the polite narrator, and
Steve Cline capturing the erratic moods of each piece. Paired with a solid rhythm section consisting of Matt Mueller (Bass) and Mike Hobbs (Drums) Carson's Machine became a force on the Philadelphia Music Scene.
Their sound has been described as having the emotion of Jeff Buckley, the dynamics of The Smashing Pumpkins, and the aggression of early Radiohead. The bands only studio recording, a 4-song EP,
Subject: My Decision, is largely biographical, with pieces focused on where the band has been, and the direction it will take in the future.
