Influences
NYC, people I like, people I don't like. Fire, water, humor, sex, love, intelligence, good stories, mainstream radio and subway buskers. Billy Joel, Dave Matthews, Aerosmith, U2, John Mayer, Diane Warren, Bonnie Raitt, Fiona Apple, Rob Thomas, Vertical Horizon, Pink Floyd.
"She's Gonna Make You Want Her" at The Cutting Room, NYC, 5/07
"LIKE ONLY LOVERS CAN" At THE BITTER END, NYC January 2007
Sounds Like
Fire and red wine. Deceptive vulnerability. Alanis meets Dixie Chicks meets Norah Jones.

SPREAD THE WORD - ADD MY BANNER TO YOUR PAGE! Just copy and paste the text in the box to anywhere in your profile.
I DON'T ACCEPT FRIEND REQUESTS FROM BANDS. Why? Because I was getting hundreds per week from bands who had no clue who i was and who I didn't know from a hole in the wall. If you met me at a show, or are a band/artist who I know, or who actually cares about what I'm doing musically, please send me a message and i'll friend request you. Thanks!
The basic facts: I come from a town called Enfield CT (famous for Xerox and, at one point, the highest number of chain restaurants per capita in the nation. Wow.) After high school, I went to Florida State University. And now, I live in the Big Apple, NEW YORK CITY, where I'm a songwriter and singer.
The songs on my page are from my available records: "Racecar", "Cradle the Moon", and "Echoes" are from "Hold the Sun," (2007) and a few are from my older EP, "hiding underneath." (2005) If you're enjoying what you hear, you can buy these songs and lots of others from the albums on my website or iTunes- just follow the little blue links! HOLD THE SUN on iTunes hiding underneath on iTunes
Major accomplishments: 2008 Borders Books and Music tour, all over the Northeast. My lovely little head plastered all over the store, and "Hold the Sun" sold in stores where I play! Check this page for dates/locations.
Opened for Dickie Betts, Anna Nalick, The October Project, Ingram Hill- all artists I really admire.
2006 Abe Olman Scholarship winner from the Songwriters Hall of Fame. What does that translate to? They think I'm one of the best up and coming songwriters in NYC. The award went to John Legend a couple years ago, so i got SHOES to fill, man!
2005 Billboard World Song Contest- 3rd place in Pop Divison for "Wherever You Wait" Buy the song at "ITunes.com"
2005 Positive Pop Song Contest- Digital Distro winner for "Cradle the Moon", an audience favorite- pick it up at "ITunes.com"
I play all over NYC at places like The Cutting Room, The Bitter End, Living Room, Rockwood Music Hall, The Metropolitan Room, etc. I also play in Germany and Jamaica. Well, so far. World tour coming soon ;-) I've played on the same bill with artists from Bill Carleton to Anna Nalick, and I play a lot in my native CT, where the fans do not, contrary to stereotypical belief, go cow tipping.
My latest CD, "Hold the Sun," is a lot more rock/jazz than the more pop sound of 2005's "hiding underneath." Check out both and let me know what you think. People seem to agree that "Hold the Sun" has elements of Billy Joel, The Dixie Chicks, and Norah Jones in it.
I've published songwriting articles in "indie-music.com" and "songwriterstipjar.com" and I volunteer with LifeBeat, the music industry's AIDS fighting organization.
My latest acting and writing project is an independent film called "Clear Blue Tuesday," which is a rock movie musical slated for festival release in 2008. It follows the journey of 11 characters beginning right after 9/11 and explores how 9/11 was a catalyst for change in their lives. Check it out: ClearBlueTuesday.com, where you can meet the cast, sign up for updates, and read all of the actors' blogs. I just saw the first edits of the film, and I'm not gonna lie, my music video where i dance on the bar is pretty...um...interesting...

I will watch it on tv today though..It is very hot/humid/hazy here i do not think it's wise to get out there.
Thank you for your CD and your beautiful poster photo..I got the postcards too i will distribute them to my friends and family and anyone i know that loves music.
