| General | Ladies, History, "The Great Patriotic War", Film, Art, Skiing, to begin. | | Music | I like all sorts of Music. If I go out to party on the town I love to hear techno/dance. I few bands I like are The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Kanye West, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Tom Petty, Sum 41, Green Day (unpolitical), REM, Valerie, the Minoque sisters, some great DJs are Da Hool, Tina Charles (from Slivki), Daft Punk, and DJ Tiesto. (its been so long since ive been to a good club im out of date) I also really like the Russian Army Opera, and can dig a lot of different stuff, like Adagio fur strings is a moving piece. | | Movies | I like to get my drama fill from old movies. I don’t think any great movies have been made for a long time. Paul Newman, and James Caan are my favorite actors, and here is a list of my favorite films. Number 1 is always Coppola’s "Rumble Fish", everything else is second to that. Blade Runner, The Hustler, Thief, Cool Hand Luke, Character (Dutch). Michael Mann is my favorite director (Thief, Heat, Last of the Mohicans). Other good movies are: Burnt By The Sun (Russian), Raging Bull, Fort Apache The Bronx, King Rat. Also as A military man I like most decent war-military movies (too many to list), the “Drama” types: Paths Of Glory, and Gardens Of Stone, From Here To Eternity, Empire Of The Sun, Dark Blue World; Then there are the "meet and potato war films" they cut out most of the melodrama and cut to the good stuff, like A Bridge To Far, The Longest Day, Stalingrad (German), Platoon, The Bridge on the Rive Kwi, The Cross Of Iron, The Great Escape, The Enemy below, Patton, Catch 22, and Zulu (the Michael Cain one). I will cut it off there. I love a good comedy, but it’s the good dramas I remember. | | Television | movies, I liked NYPD Blue. | | Books | Solzhenitsyn is my favorite novelist. Cancer Ward is a very good book. I mostly read about History. Cornelius Ryan and Paul Carrel are two of the best military historians. | | Heroes | St. Jude (Patron Saint of lost causes). I have a lot of respect for General Romeo Dallaire, and many soldiers past and present. |

Hi, This is Adam. I have a place in Cloquet, Minnesota. I have not been there lately, I’m on my second year in Iraq right now, which is wonderful! All my friends better throw me one hell of a party when I get home. My plans when I get back are to drink until my heart stops.
