Originally formed as a four-piece rock band, back in 2005, Kilkenny-based Grunger’s, Chemical Addiction, have undergone several line-up changes over the band’s short existence.
But after downsizing to a three-piece, Uncle and Nephew combination Ben Keating and Danny Pearson finally found their sound with energetic stickman’s Ciaran “Ciwi” Mc Carthy completing the trio.
Influenced by bands such as Alice In Chains, Silverchair, Therapy?, Stone Temple Pilots, Helmet and Kerbdog (whom they have shared the stage with thrice) Chemical Addiction have developed their own style of melodic rock, filled with fast-paced hard-hitting raw energy, catchy hooks and melodic harmonies.
Their highly anticipated debut offering "The Brian Jones E.P" is set for release in 2009. The band have been heavily pushed by popular online music community KilkennyMusic.com, branding Chemical Addiction as “a band to watch out for”.
The title track of the E.P, 'Brian Jones', has already received national airplay on 2FM and several plays on the SoundSystem Podcast show, with HotPress Music Magazine citing "the title-track from Chemical Addiction's 'Brian Jones' EP rocks like a suitably mean bastard."

haha yeah man im just randomly browzing myspace adding metal bands 2 try & get afew friends 2 gig with etc & suprising who many bands come from the same shithole as me :L cool 2 of us from thurles& the other dude is from dullra were playing kinda thrashy/grove metal stuff but afew kinda classic rock style coveers (like thin lizzy & shit)but we dont really have a set genre were just trying 2 do something differant :P ahm something between 14 & 18 :P what age is ur man?
