Choir of the Broken exploded onto the Christian music scene in the spring of 2007. In the short time the band has been together they have garnered many local awards as well as recognition on a national stage. Some of the accolades include two time AZX artist of the month, winner of a GMA showcase, and the chance to share the stage with many national acts including Dove Award winning artists Starfield and Seventh Day Slumber. On top of the awards and accolades they have been blessed with the opportunity to represent World Vision as a sponsored artist. Choir of the Broken will be embarking on an ambitious five-month national tour upcoming this summer and spilling into the fall that coincides with the release of their new self titled album on MakeShift Records.
Always striving to keep God at the center of what they do, Choir of the Broken relates a message of hope and wonderment amidst a world of hopelessness and selfishness. From the driving melodies of “Everything” to the powerful swirling ambient guitars in “All for You” Choir of the Broken seem to encapsulate the paradoxical nature of our human lives, the fact that we are a special creation of an omnipotent wonderful God, yet fully fallen creatures at the same time. Beautiful harmonies and melodies lifted to God, spilling out from abused speakers, over saturated tubes, and inefficient power transformers. The very kaleidoscope of sound produced by Choir of the Broken in line with that very belief, that we are the choir, we are human, we are fallen, yet we are Beautiful.
