Acoustic - Folk: Under The Lights: Christian Seith

I arrived at the Skylark Lounge on Broadway a bit after 9:00 PM, paid my 5 dollar cover, and headed to the bar. Up on stage was Christian Seith doing his sound check and warm up. I was a bit worried as between my friend, the doorman, the barkeep, and the few stragglers that came to join in the nights festivities, there were between fifteen and twenty people to see the nights show. Shortly after ordering my pint, Christian came to chat for a bit. As I sat and spoke with the DU Jazz major about his life in music thus far, I realized the he is the biggest act that no one has heard of (Yet!). Christian has opened for Rascal Flats and Kenny Chesney on a special VIP stage earlier in his career. He arrived in Denver via Washington D.C. via Costa Rica where his CD "Believe" (Find it, buy it!) was recorded and mixed. He has a sixties folkie meets Dave Matthews sound with a bit of fun thrown in the mix. To watch Christian play is like watching someone listen to the Beatles for the first time. This is a man who truly enjoys his art and doesn't do it just for the 40 bucs and three free drinks! Check Christian out on his MySpace page where you can purchase tracks from his CD, or better yet, track down his shows! He will be performing at DU Unplugged at the Sidelines Pub in the Driscoll North building on University of Denver's campus.
David J. Matthews, and the rest of the members of DMB, Pink Floyd, The Who, Johnny Cash, Led Zepplin, Jack Johnson, (oh and how could I leave out...) the Beatles and here are a few influential places that I came across while travelling through Nasvhille, Memphis, and New Orleans:
Christian Seith is a singer/songwriter native to the Washington, DC metropolitan area with a flavor for original funky acoustic rock music that he has crafted and
showcased on three different continents, several cities around the US and different
stages throughout his hometown of DC.
Christian Seith, having played in Italy; Costa Rica; Boston, MA; Brooklyn, NY; San Francisco and Berkeley, CA, has also graced the stage of the 2006 + 2007 Montgomery County Agricultural Fair, side stages before Rascal Flatts and Kenny Chesney shows at Nissan Pavilion, along with restaurants, clubs and coffeehouses throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
After living on the East coast for most of his life, Christian Seith closed out his time in Washington, DC at the end of summer 2007 and transplanted himself into the Denver, CO music scene to expand his public base and to experience the Wild, Wild West!.
Christian Seith's current EP album, The Monteverde Sessions, was written and recorded in the mountain top town of Monteverde Costa Rica through the help of his good friend Rhine "Tomas" Singleton.

I know, it seems like a waste. I have no idea what direction the team is going this year. Should be an interesting season. We really needed an O-Lineman or a D-Lineman, not another receiver. Crazy draft.
Galatians 3:14 - He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
