What is it?
Christmas Spectacular is a holiday display located in Columbus, Indiana. Like most large displays it features thousands of lights. What makes this display special is that those thousands of lights blink, fade, flicker, and well - dance. The entire display is run by a computer and the lights dance to a soundtrack that viewers can listen to by tuning in a special radio station from their cars. Since it's much easier to show you than explain in words, we've included a video (of poor quality - i know) to the right showing one song from last year's show.
When & Where is it?
The display is located at 3038 27th Street in Columbus, Indiana. For those of you that know the area that's just 2 blocks north of 25th street near the Marsh supermarket. The display debuts on Thanksgiving evening and runs through New Years Eve. Shows run every evening starting at 6:00 and run through 10:00. On Friday and Saturday nights we keep the display running until 11:00 to accomodate all you night owls out there.
