I'm the only member of Clouds Of Pain , and I'm proud of being alone . i revendicate this as it gives musical freedom , as it permits me to make music with no one to ruin my work .

Clouds Of Pain was born when walking a rainy day in the gloomy streets of Saint Gobain, in the days of april 2006 .
I decided to make more slow and melancholic music , with much more synth than traditional metal . The name would be Clouds Of Pain .
My name is David Faure, I'm the only member of this band . And I'm proud of that .
I studied music at noyon's music high school for five years , learning classical music on piano . I finally left that school because i wanted to play the guitar and i lacked time to to play music . And also i got bored of baroque music , i wanted something different as i discovered heavy metal music , and especially black metal and doom metal .
As i was becoming more and more a true musician i begun to create slow , and atmospheric music . My songs were too slow , with too much synth ... for being played in a normal band . So i decided to create my own doom/dark project to make you discover my music .
I finally love the idea that Clouds Of Pain is a one man band because i can do everything , and it lets me control all of the music . It gives me so much creative freedom ... that's the reason why i really like the fact that Clouds Of Pain is a One man Band , Even if really talented musicians asked me to become members of that band . I prefer to be alone . I also dislike to be with somebody when composing . so i compose in the privacy of my home studio when i can create the atmospheres i want , and where i can try everything i want in my music , with no limits to me .
I see Clouds Of Pain as an experimental project to seek new atmospheres and new sounds , and mixing it successfully with my classical , medieval music , black metal , doom metal , death metal , goth rock , new age , psychedelic rock such as pink floyd , and even blues or rock influences .
To create my music i use my old computer , tons of different softwares , a midi keyboard and an electric guitar with a small amp which is really good for recording . i record the tracks with sometimes really cheap hardware (like a cheap stock squier stratocaster guitar ) but as you can see i can make it sound really good and interesting .
