The Brothers Grimm is a rap group hailing from Pontiac, Michigan. Consisting of two group members that met each other in 2001 during high school and have been active in music recording and production since then.
In 2002 the two decided to venture from video editing services to music creation and production. After working with the vast array of southeast Michigan rap artists and groups, the duo came upon a a realization. Some of the people they were working for seemed to be lacking real talent, but still bringing in big crowds and many fans.
"Why can't we do this?, I know we can do better than this!" , this became the question we asked ourselves.
At the beginning of 2003, the two started to record their own music. With knowledge of music basics and how production went, they charged along themselves. Being completely self sufficient and reliant, the two began working on numerous songs and releasing two mixtapes. Fast-forward to the year 2006, they decided to focus all of their efforts on releasing a full length LP. Within a month of brainstorming and contemplating an idea struck them.
A whirlwind of ideas came together and materialized in the form of their group name, The Brothers Grimm.
Lyrics driven by the thoughts of two slightly misguided individuals, and combined with music thats nothing short of a sonic assault on the eardrums. They came together with all of their ideas and wrote and recorded their masterpiece LP, "The Pragmatic Theory". 14 tracks of a journey through the mind's eye, twisting emotions and brutal thoughts make it a runaway train of amazement. With a intense live show and dedication to making any show more than just people rhyming into a mic, The Brothers Grimm are out to try and make their mark.
