Obviously animals are our interests. We love been with them and doing every think that we can to make there lives better. There is nothing better than going on our family walk and seeing the dogs happily playing, or seeing a cat come to you for a fuss when it has spent the last few weeks scared to leave a room.
One of our resident pets Yukio (a bunny) is addicted to the television. Particuly CSI at night and kids programs during the day. He'll stamp his feet if you get in his way and has been known to wee on you if you don't take the hint. As been as this little chap has cheated death three times (despite been cast of for dead by the vets) and is only one year old, we let him watch as much television as he likes. He is a very special bunny who has no idea he is actually a rabbit. He still beleives he is a baby and we are his mommy and daddy. He was hand reared and we are all he as ever know.

* The people who feed the cats who roam the streets after been outcast from there own home or born on the streets after no one cared enough to have there mother spayed.

Missy is a beautiful female and is with out doubt a TOP CAT!!!!
Missy is about 1-1/2 years old and loves to sit on your lap all day and just be with you. She is a little gem and tolerates dogs, cats and children just fine, but she is finding it a little hard being at Cookies Friends as she would like more love than she can currently get. Missy is neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flead and microchipped and is awaiting to leave to her new home now. If you think you could offer Missy a forever home, please let us know.
Who I'd like to meet: We would love to meet anyone who can offer our non resident animals a LOVING and a FOREVER home. Or anyone that wants help finding the correct pet for them to rescue.
If you would like your pet microchipped please feel free to email us. If we are up your way we'll be happy to chip your pet in the comfort of there own home if not you can always pop over to us or meet us on one of our microchipping days. The micro chip will only take a few moments and most pets don't feel a thing. Microchipping costs £15.

Momma and I are really sorry about everything that is happening at the minute for you. We think what you do ia amazing, truly amazing, it must be so incredibly tough for you but you still keep going and helping little men like me. Without you guys where would I be? Yet you worked with me when many others wouldn't.
I hope you manage to deal with this and keep going, because for all of those you couldn't save, there are so many you have saved, and we will be forever thankful.

We are "Cookie's Friends Family Rescue" a family run none-Profit rescue based in Birmingham (not charity Registered). We offer pets in need a place to stay until a new forever home is found where they will be loved always. We work mainly with animals that are abandoned or are taken in to vets to be put to sleep purely because there are no longer wanted and pets owners that are no longer able to keep there furbabys. Primarily we take on cats, but also do rescue dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and small furys where we need to. Our aim is to rehabilitate animals that are scared or abused and offer some training to those who need it. We socialise the animals as much as possible with other animals, children and adults. We aim to have all our animals Microchipped, neutered, Vaccinated, flead and wormed. These beautiful animals are then put up for adoption. They are in need of a loving forever home where they can receive the love they deserve. All the rescued animals are kept in our home and are made to feel a part of the family until their right owner is found. Did you know that according to the Dogs Trust 2007 stray dog survey, 7,892 dogs were unnecessarily destroyed in the uk alone. This is shocking and unacceptable.
The figures for america and other countries would boost this figure up by thousands upon thousands. That's why here at Cookies Friends Family Rescue we try and help animals all over the world and not just those on our door step. Many of our day to day work for the rescue is spending time on myspace with a large community of animal lovers and sending out lists of animals due to be gassed that day and desperately try to find them a safe home or a safe house so to speak just so they can live. We can have hundreds of animals a day due to be killed just because they are unwanted or grew bigger than their owner thought they would. Some of these animals are pregnant (and will still be gassed) abused and starving to death. Some are even in need of rescuing from so called animal shelters that only care enough to come and feed and water the animals three times a week.
Our door is always open and although we are just a small house with a garden (hopefully one day we will have more land to save more animals) we will always try our hardest to stop any animals being killed without a good reason, or thrown out on to the streets because they are no longer loved. Just remember your pet deserves the best and deserves to be loved, don't throw it out like garbage, give it the chance to live and make someone happy with there love.
If you are looking for a dog or cat in the UK and we have none here that suit you, or we just haven't any up for adoption at that time, PLEASE still get in touch, i am always having lists sent to me of animals on death row who are in need desperately of a home (especially cross breads, German shepherds, staffordshire bull terriers, Jack Russell's and Rottweilers) . If you tell me what type of dog you are looking for, i will try my hardest to find the right one for you. It is rewarding as you have just saved a life and you will find a friend for life.
