About me:
...hailing from east detroit michigan, the notorious corrupt.
the speed, thrash, death metal band left motown early in the bands existence to go out on the touring circuit. they have graced the stage with many of the genre's finest; celtic frost, trouble, metal church, y & t, saxon, motorhead, wasp, exodus, exciter, mod, merciful fate, plasmatics and most notable opening dates on slayers first american tour.
the band has been defunct since 1987 and has 3 albums to it's credit and the 3 song demo titled 'autopsy' (82)... the band then released the debut record self titled "corrupt" in 1984, then released a second record "kill" in 1985 and the final record from the band called "prediction" was released in 1986...
the group suffered many troubles and tribulations during it's short career most notable in feuding within the bands members and music and creative differences as well as personal conflicts and ideology broke the band up finally in 1987. religious and political subjects ranging from satanism to christianity as well as geopolitical opinions destroyed the band from within causing a considerable line-up change since it's inception in 1982.
bernard edwards left corrupt in 1987 as the remaining members tried to continue and returned to local detroit status, this was a useless decision as edwards (edward przydzial) owned the rights to the corrupt music and name and issued the remaining members to discontinue using the corrupt name and music.
founded by (bassist) bernard edwards the band recruited various members from the detroit area metal scene as well as from other parts of the country to complete the continually changing line-up. the band was signed to emerald city records of hollywood's detroit subsidiary for a 3 album contract.
the corrupt releases are planned for re-issue from album re-mastering to compact disc and contract negotiations are currently underway for legal permissions to use all music and art involved through various legal channels. emerald city records of hollywood hopes to release all three albums as well as the demo as a box set... or possibly as seperate re-issues to compact disc.
