So forget for a moment your age and where you are. Put on a costume of your choice and disappear into your dreams. Itsudatte Yumeji! It means Always Dreaming.

I welcome you to my dark side of costuming, for I am costumed in wyckedness.

I am the Co-Owner of FoxMoon Productions (www.FoxMoonProductions.com) and Co-Founder of the Always Dreaming Cosplay Association (www.Always-Dream.com). Both are here to help bring fantasy to life and help make dreams come true.

With FoxMoon Productions I am a professional costumer and performer creating costuming and characters from Merfolk to Renfolk, Pirates to Historical Characters, Fantasy to Cosplay. If you can name it, it can be done. Be it cartoon, fantasy or historical it is all costumed play, Cosplay.

I have played scripted and improv roles, Shakespearean, Drama, Comedy, Tragedy, Historical and Fantasy, even voice acting. I enjoy using a script but enjoy the art of Interactive Performance far more than that of scripted acting. I love to create my own costuming for the characters I play and am always happy to help others create theirs as well.

Life is a performance and I wear a costume everyday. It's when I am in character that I truly feel at home. Our characters are a part of us and we are a part of them. They are the sides of us that we have a tendency to hide from the "real" world. Sometimes they leak through, sometimes they help us build our self esteem and help us to be more socially accepted, sometimes they don't.

I have played a large array of characters throughout life. My galleries only show a few of them, but I hope to correct this very soon.

Who I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet fellow cosplayers, costumer and performers!

Interests

  • Movies

Anime, Historical and Literary Renaissance and Medieval stories, Vampires and Fantasy/Sci-Fi. I also like the occasional chick flick Drama.
  • Television

Much like my movies, I like a wide variety of shows, but sadly I don't actually watch the TV much. I mostly just listen to it, kind of, sort of.. maybe.. YAY FOR DVD Players!
  • Books

Other than the obvious Manga, I also like to read good vampire stories, the Harry Potter books, and a few stories by odd authors that most people don't really seem to know. I like Fantasy and Sci-Fi most, but really it all depends on whether it tells a good story and brings the imagery to life for me.
  • Heroes

I realize there are very few who can be either good or bad, we all have that little streak to be mischevious, naughty or down right evil at times. Just as we all have the streak that allows us to be good, honest and almost angelic. ;) riiiiight. My personal heros though, are those that I know, both in and outside of my family, who have endured hardships in life and are stronger for it. Those who do not let this oftimes depressing thing that is life as it was delt us bring them down to the point of no return. My heros are those who live life to its fullest and though it is human nature to complain, accept it for what it is and make the best of it after all.

No problem. And wah, only sortof? *pouts* Lmao. I understand since I do come off as a stranger/weirdo sometimes. But I assure you I am not. Just a fan ^.~. I live in NY so you can most likely see me at NYAF or ComicCons. However, if I'm ever in the area, you can count on it! But hey, no problem about the compliments. If the truth fits, I'm most likely to say it =D. Ironically enough, I was at the mall today, and found a better Mai vest to use. Haha. I wish I could make my own stuff, but I don't have the coordination for it ><. Lol. But yea, thanks for the add!

  • May 15 2009 12:18 PM

Yay! A fellow Mai! Thanks for the add. ^_^. Btw, I love your cosplays. Shuichi and Queen Beryl are my favorites. Nice to meet you, btw =).

dont be down or mad. I am sure there were plenty of people who loved your efforts, but just didnt take a moment to say thank you. That seems to be a recurrent theme in todays world. So chin up. Press on and %^&%$ em.

Sad to hear your experience was not what you hoped for. I was fortunate to have nice neighbors. The wind was almost to much to deal with for me.
