Sounds Like
Hard twang with sweat-corroded pick-ups. A city-grown abscess bursting out on the moorlands. 16 Horsepower with 100w Marshall heads. Fugazi with banjos, but without banjos.
From Devon, UK, hard-twang, roots-punk quartet, Crazy Arm, properly set up camp in mid-2006.
They very much enjoy listening to 16 Horsepower, Murder By Death, Fleet Foxes, Constantines, Hüsker Dü, The Clash, Fugazi, Dick Gaughan, Austin Lucas, Ted Leo, The Replacements, Gene Vincent, Led Zeppelin, CSNY, Bruce Springsteen and Baroness, and sometimes end up sounding a bit like all of them, sometimes all at once.
The band have toured the UK underground many times, sometimes with other bands, sometimes alone. Their favourite two tours were with Cornwall’s Bangers and Manchester’s Sonic Boom Six.
Debut album, 'Born To Ruin', recorded by Pete Miles on the edge of Dartmoor, was released on Xtra Mile Recordings in June 2009. The title is a celebration of history’s conscientious trouble-makers. Not easy to categorise, and all the better for it, ‘Born To Ruin’ is an accumulation of years and years of influence and inspiration: rooted in hardcore/punk, ‘60s protest folk and classic rock’n’roll. Available at the top of this page. Click on the header banner.
Band members are all atheist, internationalist, vegetarian/vegan and support human/animal rights struggles worldwide. They consider these things important to mention even if you don’t.
Debut 7" limited-edition single, 'Broken By The Wheel', is out now on Seven Inch Records (digital formats via Xtra Mile).
The self-produced demo EP, 'Cross Country', is no longer available so feel free to burn it off someone else.

I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.
