6th Day Dance Company presents “Seven,” a collection of new works that explore the significance of this primary number which is foundational in so many areas of life ranging from the sciences to the religions and beyond. It will premiere on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 3pm and 8pm at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center, 4408 Delridge Way SE, Seattle 98106. Fresh off of his Australian tour Passion returns to the Northwest with a new EP release, Paper Airplane. Jeremy Joseph Manongdo, musically known as Passion, is a Filipino American singer-songwriter born and raised in San Francisco, CA. He first gained notable acclaim with his covers of Ne-Yo's "So Sick," Usher's "My Boo," and his original composition "Lemonade." More recently he has offered his songwriting/producing talents to Slim's, of 112, debut CD.
Also just added to this already jam packed night is Gabe Bondoc. This singer-songwriter from the Bay Area, has gain popularity throughout the years with original songs and acoustic covers.
Expect a night full of soulful talents from across the Northwest. Also performing will be Po, Dice, and Lorenzo Tautua. We will also showcase five up-and-coming artists, for your chance to see some of the best hidden talents from home . This is once again presented by Cultivate a group helping to shape the inner cities of the South Sound by gathering and promoting the arts from these urban pockets. Special thanks to Lae-Z-Boi and Island Trybe Fam. All proceeds goes to Help Holly See (www.hollyconnor.org) .
