Bio:

DAME, playing together since february of 2003, was formed in melbourne, florida. since that time, the band has been playing in and out of state in the southeast, and has frequented downtown orlando clubs such as the social, the backbooth, slingapour's, and others. over the course of their first year, DAME has worked hard to build a loyal fan base in the southeast regions. in september of 2003, DAME signed a record deal with WINTER IN JULY records. DAME strongly believed that WINTER IN JULY embraced the spirit of their music and understood the ethics and importance of "do-it-yourself" [DIY] marketing, and the credibility it brought to a band and their music. the self-titled debut was released in mid-january under the ALLEGRO/NAIL distribution label, Lujo records out of seattle. the distribution deal allows for the CD to be purchased at any best buy, tower records, target, and wal-mart locations. most commonly compared to the likeness of coldplay, pete yorn, and travis, DAME's songs are believable and sincere, drawing the listener in by how easily accessible the music really is.
