Original LA soundz...diversified like the music heard on the streets of LA.
The original hiphop band DISSNFRANCHISED was formed by Eric Brown (ERBZ) and Samuel Gutierrez (SG One) in 1998. The goal of the band was to bring back the old school phunkee sound and inject diversity into the music scene, along with old school members Jdubs, Jacob, and Mike. The band played at many venues and with many artists including The Cypress Hill Smokeout, Dennis Rodman's club-Josh Slocum's, and the Olympic Auditorium,etc., some of the acts included Cypress Hill, Dilated Peoples, Jurassic 5, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mos Def and many others. The band disintegrated in 2005 due to personal differences. Recently in late 2008 founding members ERBZ and SG One decided it was time to resurrect the phunkee music. The band was revived by adding Victor Robledo (Clef-keyboards/vox), Cheyenne Yanez (Chy-vox), Luis Miranda (Daddy Santa Fe-bass) and Aundra Island(Dre-drums). The decision was made to bring a more danceable and groove friendly sound back to the universe with--diversity--as the number one goal! DISSNFRANCHISED is back in full effect and coming to a venue near you so check us out!!!
