DJ Yesi Ortiz - Los Angeles

 

Yesi Ortiz was born and raised in Orange County, Yesi grew up with a major interest and passion for music. This brought her to study broadcasting. While music served her as an escape her charisma and charm landed her a gig in Las Vegas just after 6 months. No stranger to hard work, Yesi would commute from Long Beach to Las Vegas just to be on-air on the weekends and return back to work on Monday.

 

Yesi then decided to move to Las Vegas to pursue her career in radio. She spent two years in Las Vegas before landing a position at a new San Diego radio station where she would rock the mic from 7 to Midnight. Yesi had to move to Tijuana, Mexico just so she could afford an apartment. Luckily she soon found out that a radio station across the border was looking to fill out a morning show position, and sure enough Yesi became the new co-host of AJ’s Playhouse in San Diego at Channel 933.

 

Yesi always dreamed of going to L.A. to work for Power 106 and just one year later her dream came true. Yesi now known for her mid-day show from 10a to 3p, during those hours you’ll also hear the Power Party Mix at noon along with Power Mixer Dj Reflex. She also co-host The New @ 2 with the Heavy Hitter Dj Felli Fel mixing all the exclusive new music, and breaking new artist. As an Oprah fan she is following in her footsteps by building her own empire, Isey Productions, where she does voiceovers for other clients radio stations, and recently as the official spokesperson for Jarritos “What the Fruit”. Whom she is also sponsored by Zune, Boost Mobile, Shiekh Shoes and Kit Kat.

 

Yesi Recently Launched her own website YesiOrtiz.com where you get to see her life day by day and get the latest gossip , and get to hear new music, and check out recent interviews with some of your favorite artists. She is an amazing role model to women that have goals to achieve and believe that anything is possible as long as you embrace your talents and keep pushing forward.
