Too many to list. I listen to EVERYTHING. But this page is for me to share my Mash Ups. I make many kinds of mixes (hip hop, techno, rock, latin, DnB, etc) ... I might make another page for those later.
I've been around music since I was born. My dad plays guitar and I had him teach me after I graduated high school. I've been into Hip Hop since 7th grade (1987), been into techno since high school too. I love it all... Hip Hop, Rock, Electronica, and more. Above all, I love the versatility of music... you can play the same song 1,000 different ways. I've heard a country version of Gin & Juice, a classic rock version of Boyz n Tha Hood, Techno/Rave/DnB remixes of everything from The Eagles' Hotel California to Eric B & Rakim's I Know You Got Soul. No matter what I do in the business world, or in my relationships, I will always have love for the one thing that crosses all borders and lives eternally: MUSIC.
Also: about a year ago I came across a site called Globaldjnetwork.com ... it's not a huge site, but the group of people who hang out there are not only great DJs but also a welcoming group of people (both male and some female DJs too). The site is community run, and there's no advertisement - the site is paid for by one of the admins - but he'd like to increase membership because he'd like to get some sponsors to host remix contests and stuff... the sponsors would chip in either cash or prizes, which of course is nothing but good for the community.
So if you DJ (pro or amateur) - or know someone who is - please ask them to visit and sign up. Doesn't cost anything, but there's lots to be gained. If nothing else, check the site out yourself. There's a free internet radio station playing 24/7 and forums where you can download full CD-length mixes, remixes, and mashups too. There's a chat box too, so you can chat with the other listeners and DJs.
