About me:
I am a NYC-New Jersey native who has been involved with music ever since i can remember and am currently the mc for a group called THE GOOD PEOPLE with my partner THE SAINT (you can go to myspace.com/thegoodpeoplemusic) to hear a few of our quality heated hip hop productions. I'm also about to drop my first solo album project called "Hardly Seen, Rarely Heard" in the january of 2009 (go to myspace.com/emskeethemc). In addition to blessing the microphone lovely, i was (and occasionally still am) a resident dj on NYC's longest running underground and independent hip hop, soulfunk, eclectic mix, and cultural and political radio show,THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD, on WBAI 99.5fm from midnight to 2am every saturday night (listen live online at www.wbai.org). I also host a bi-monthly program on the same station called "THE RARE RADIO SHOW" which is dedicated to classic and obscure dance music from the 70's to the present. I have a very diverse music weekly saturday night party called "Make Love, Not War" at Black Betty in williamsburgh, brooklyn (www.blackbetty.net) that you should DEFINITELY check out when you're in NYC. As a matter of fact there's a myspace page for that too! myspace.com/makeloveinbrooklyn. Go get added! Soul, classic hip hop (commercial and old school),80's dance, rock, some reggae, and more. I enjoy all types of music and meeting all types of people but my passion is recording or spinning quality music for those with open minds and kindred spirits. Music is the soundtrack of your life whether you realize it or not so make it so hot that others will want to bang it in their systems!!! :) Also, check the already legendary QUALITY hip hop culture webshow i host on www.brooklynradio.net called "Controlled Substance", which is THE alternative to the regular hip hop shows which basically don't offer you the progression that everyone screams about making but don't. It's about quality lyrical content, intelligent viewpoints, and funky beats and vibes from across the globe. Join the movement if you're serious about your hip hop and changing distorted, blinded lifestyle methods.Oh, and i keep it essence with mostly vinyl. NO COMPUTER DEEJAYING HERE.
