My name is Uri Senanayake and my passion is to be an artist and a PROFESSIONAL producer/DJ of experimental Drum and Bass. Yes i compose every little Fraction of a sound you hear in these "Samples" i use emotion to create melody, bass, or beats to fit the feeling of the mood. i dont know how to really categorize my music but experimental Drum & Bass with a dash of trip-hop. i compose on a regular basis and intend on keeping it that way. i also take interest into poi, a art for visual entertainment that includes glowsticks on strings swung synchronized to the music in a trippy fashion. that plus liquiding. a use of hands and body to seem very fluid. but to me it's like swimming through the soundwaves. i regularly compose music and sometimes even perform. constructive as well as destructive critisism is welcome for all, as long as you're honest and stick to the subject of music and sound perception.
the sound of my music is suppose to send emotional vibrations throughout your ears to help you project yourself into the mood and situation of the song. hence the alias Dj Endorphin. i like to emphasize variations of beats, melodies, and basslines all of which are non repetitive. if you had to classify my music it couldnt really be classified as anything other than experimental Drum & Bass. my purpose is not to make money but that is a factor. my main focus is to connect to another human being who has been where i've been and can lose themselves in the existance of my sound. i like to connect emotionally to a human to help them realize their own potential and pain. my lyrics focus on the growth and realization of becoming an adult through the teenage years. pain and analyzations of it. love and lost. i have performed before at the loveland in downtown portland, OR on febuary 10th 2006 and the Rock and Roll Pizza off of powell on november 19th, 2006. but im tired of not living my dream and just working to survive. i want so bad to become the performer people have talked about and supported. i've been composing music for over 11 YEARS now and still am, Everyday i make a new song, add on to an old one, or just improvise.
