What did you think when you first went on stage?	Oh my God!! i was Very Nervous
How do you feel when you step onto the stage now	I feel happy, very confident and relaxed
Is the Donna on stage different from the Donna at home?	Yes i do feel am dfferent on stage , when am performing i become somone else ,am someone thats very in control , confident , basically i become a diva!!! lol when am off however am more calmer , nerdy donna lol !!
When you were in school you were obviously dreaming of being a singer, but did you have a backup plan after school?	I didnt't, i wasn't quite sure who i was when i left school, i simply did a course that all my friends were doing, and i came out of college feeling uncompleted,I had my fair share of jobs but it wasnt until i started giging that i knew this was for me , it made me happy, and made me want to get out of bed each morning
What were your parents thinking?	lol oh!! they werent happy, they really belive that education is very important , and they didint understand why i wanted to do something that was so difficult to achieve
Now they are like yeah!	yeh, Now they understand my passion for my music, and they understand thats its important for me to do something that makes me happy
What was the concept behind Show me some love?	Show me some love was simply about someone whos been away from there lover for a while and misses them and needs some lovin!! not physical, My songs arent always about sex , its more on a intimancy level
What does music mean to you?	to me music is something thats free, its innovative, and poweful it can totally change your emotions from happy to sad, angry to wanting love.
What's the most personal song on your album?	Wow!! do i have to answer that one coz there soo many...um I'd say In and Out which is about a women in an on/ off relationship being taking for an emotional rollacoster ,sometimes he wants her, sometimes he dont!
Did anyone inspire that song?	umm.... That would be telling lol, well I supose so, we all have to experience something in order to write a song
When fans tell you that the songs are so important to them and help themwhat is the feeling like?	Its amazing, i feel deeply touched coz there the reason why i do this.Its nice to know that they can listen to my songs and say' hey am not the only one"
How do you write? Do you have beats? Come up with melodies?	Well theres two ways i write, i can hum a melody and then add words, or i can listen to a beat get a melody from that and then write the words.
Is writing natural?	Yes i feel that it has been a natural process for me i never have to force it, when i feel the need to write its there
Growing upwhen did you realize you had that voice?	oh i remember this it was when i started my first music class at secondary school, i went to Brampton Manor and had a great music teacher, well anyway our first lesson was songwriting and i wrote my song and sung it to the class and everyone went mad, i got rushed!! everyone was feeling my trk and loving my voice.
When did you first say to yourself I can sing for a living?	lol when i kept gettting fired from all my jobs!!! , 9 to 5 really aint cuttin it for me and i just couldnt get passionate about these job unless it involved music !!
Do you feel dually blessed that you can write and sing? Some people can do one or the other but not many can do both.	Yes i do I thank God that he has blessed me, everyday ,with the ability to not only sing but express myself through words
Everyone sings in the shower, who were you pretending to be?	lol, it was either Mariah Carey or Teena Marie i am a huge Fan of hers!! for any of you oldies out there i know you'll know who i mean!
Who when you were growing up inspired you to want to be a singer?	My sister she's a gospel Singer now , but when she was my age she started out singing Rnb, everyday i'd come home from school and listen to hear demos, and sing along to them, thats prob why we sound so alike
How do you take your performance to the next level? How do you get whatever it is out of you?	I see whos the next big thing out there and try to be better, see what they do, observe and make it my own
As a songwriter do you want people to come away with a message?	Yes i do i always try to write songs that other people can experience and relate to,
Were there songs or artists growing up that really touched you?	yes i loved 'underneath the stars' by Mariah carey, I also have a christian upbringing so i love gospel artist like the clark sisters, and comissioned they really minister and give me chills
What are you listening to right now?	right now i've dug out my Common Album the lastest cd 'Be' the songs are off the hook and it still sounds fresh
When did you know that you wanted to get into music?	after my many failed attempts to working a 9 to 5, it felt like a rat race and robotic, everyday was the same, and i didnt like the idea of not being happy ,and not being able to live for today
When you wear your heart on your sleeve fans will tend to feel as if they know you probably better than they actually do. Is that strange in a way?	No not really , i feel that if people understand your songs and relate to them , they understand you coz they've gone through it to .its a connection thing and i dont find it strange
Do you remember the first time you heard the song on the radio?	yes i was with my producer Delirious in the studio and we were told that it might get played so we had the radio on in the background when my trk came on it was a huge surprise coz i wasnt expecting to instantly hear it, it was a dream!! i called everyone i knew whilst screaming!!
Is there anyone out there where you say if I could have a career like	I'd say Mariah Carey for her longevity , and staying power oh and prob jennifer lopez, i like the fact that she an all round entertainer and can give the people what they want
Are you constantly working on tracks?	yes most times am at the studio or am performing or am at the studios!! lol, but it needs to be done, so i cant complain
How do you decide which tracks to keep or do some just sound like theyd fit better with another artist?	i nomally play them around test them as a promo and see the response i get from my fans, playing them to family also helps if a songs not for me i normally know straight after i'd finished writing it, i'll be like oh no!! this is a choir song or i can see someone with a christina milan voice recording this track
I hear your signed to a production company	i've been working under Delirious productions for about over five years we def have a musical connection, and an understanding, i might have this track and i'll sing him the melody and he'll be like yeh i know what am gonna do wit this, and its perfect jus how i pictured the music to be great chemistry
What motivates you everyday?	life knowing that theres only one of it, so i have to make the most of it !!

Hey Waz Up welcome to my page. Am Donna St Louis 23 Yrs Old East London Chick!! RnB Singer and Songwriter, unsigned and ready to go!!! Been writing and recording for some time had opportunities to perform at some of London's top venues including Sound, 10 Rooms,Royal Festival Hall, Urban Music Seminar,and Alexandra Palace alongside acts such as Big Brovaz and Gemma Fox.
