I am a musician who studied composition and orchestral percussion, with Peggy Lucchesi at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music. In my 100+ years as a professional musician I have had the fortune to have recorded or performed with the following artists: Jim Campilongo, Christine Lakeland, Alex Chilton, Johnette Napolitano, Percy Sledge, Ray Charles, Mose Allison, Taj Mahal, Tower of Power, JJCale, Billy Paul, Randy Jackson, Cindy Bullens, Jerry Harrison, Elliott Murphy, Benmont Tench, Steve Wynn, Sal Bernardi, Tom Johnston of the Doobie Bros., Dr. Ross, Thad Beckman, The Shirelles, Mark Patterson, Olivier Durand, Alberto Rionda, Jorge Otero, Hugo Race & Marta Collica, and a host of cultural criminali that Interpol would love to get their hands on. . . These days I winter in San Francisco, and do most of my work in Europe, in the spring, summer and fall. I lived and worked in Paris for over 15 years, and now make my home in Modigliana, Italy. And in Asturias, Spain, I continue to record with Xana Records recording artists Avalanch, Stormy Mondays and Stunned Parrots. . .
2009 brings to America a new president with brains and a heart in the right place. Huzzah! In April I head back to Europe to work on projects in Italy, France and Spain. Back again working with Antonio Gramentieri and the "greatest little festival in the world", Strade Blu. Big thanks to LANTEC drum sticks.
