My name is Daryl Wayne Dasher. Most folks on the road call me Dash. I am in the Nashville rock trio, Mellow Down Easy, as well as the proud bassist of Country / Rock pioneer Ricky Lynn Gregg (who I am currently on tour with). Please check out MDE's or Ricky's myspace page for more details. I am also working with Jeff Kieth (Tesla) and Kent Goodson (George Jones)on a new project. I can tell you it has been one of the best learning experiences of my life, and that it has "Honky Tonk Stardust" sprinkled all over it. Details will follow at a later time.
I, along with producer Jerry "Jigger" Bridges, have just finished recording my first solo COUNTRY music album, titled "LONG ROAD NOW", which is set to be released in April 2009. I recorded the album in Mississippi with legendary musicians Richie Albright (my all-time favorite drummer), Jerry Bridges, Fred Newell, Kevin Madill and Eugene Moles, along with some special guests.
Mellow Down Easy has just finished our third album, entitled "COSMISUTRA" which will be available March 31, 2009. This is by far our best album and most accurately represents our eclectic musical influences. The album will be our first release on DUALTONE RECORDS and we can't wait to get this one into your hands!
I've been playing music since I was four or five years old, thanks to my Dad and Uncle Jon (who taught me guitar and bass), my Mom (who taught me the importance of harmony vocals), and the rock band KISS (who first inspired me). I am proud to be part of the Nashville music community - even though I'm just a wee-little guy in a big sea of talent.Other than that - I love what I do, I love my family and friends, and I hope to see y'all out on the road!!!! God Bless.
