Hi, my name is Addie Kania and I live in Haverhill, Massachusetts. I feel so fortunate to have a full time career in a profession that I really love! I am a Hypnotherapist. www.AddieKania.com

As a matter of fact, my husband is a licensed substance clinician and a hypnotherapist also and was actually at one time my competition. With similar interests and obviously a whole lot of other reasons, we decided to get married on 1/1/00. What a way to start of the New Millennium!

This is how it all started: After long term failed first marriage, I was finally ready for a new life partner. I told my girlfriends that I was going to send an order out into the Universe. I visualized a man who cooked, lived by the water and really enjoyed life in a very positive way. It was time for a playmate for MYSELF and then Richard entered my life! If you understande the Law of Attraction, I was CLEAR in my intention, in other words I knew what I wanted and I VISUALIZED my desire!

Even though I knew who he was for over a year, we finally met at a holistic health fair at Winnekenni Castle(I met my Prince in a "REAL" castle). This is a picture of Winnekenni Castle in Haverhill, Massachusetts:

I disclosed to him that even though he never knew me personally, I attended the last Great American Smoke-Out where he hypnotized a group of 165 attendees at the local Haverhill Library in the previous year. I told him I was so impressed by the way he described nicotine as an addictive drug, I enrolled in the Substance Abuse Certificate Program at our local Community College to learn more about addictions. He inadvertently was my mentor and I just wanted to reveal that fact to him personally! He now claims I had the best "pick-up" line ever!

Rich, somewhat embarrassed and yet flattered, then invited me to his next community stop smoking program without any charge-What a sport! (remember, this was a year after my initial encounter with Rich). After I let him know how impressed I was with his new presentation, he actually had the audacity to charge me ten dollars for his new hypnosis tape. He then asked me out for coffee afterwards and actually paid my way! I thought, what is this guy all about? How cheap!

However, I soon found out, although he too was damaged financially and emotionally by previous relationships, Rich was now ready for the right person. Despite my initial encounter, I have found Rich to be very generous and loving. I now have it all! He is a great cook (does all the cooking and food shopping at home),initially he lived on a lake (remember I asked for a man who lived near water) and now our new home is in sight of the Merrimac River. Rich has a unique sense of humor, an eternal optimist and a whole lot of fun to be with and travel with!

Our life together is totally BLISS! We have very few disagreements even though we come from very different worlds. We just have so much mutual respect for each other! Rich, with his natural Gemini curiosity for new technologies (even though he is really not a "tekkie," he seems to figure things out of necessity to make it happen), he has helped me tremendously in my business by providing technical and marketing support to our entrepreneurial endeavors.

We are really BOTH proud of my latest hypnosis CD that WE recorded using a condenser microphone, a laptop and the Audacity digital sound mixing program. Technologies that Rich had to learn to keep up with my creative mission! The initial reviews about my hypnosis CD "Transform your Life through the Law of Attraction" have been beyond our wildest expectations. The interesting thing, Rich was inspired and motivated by our hypnotherapist friends Tom Nicoli (Dateline, NBC) and Joe Vitale, featured in the world renowned "The Secret" video that explains Quantum Physics and The "Law of Attraction.

Regarding my family, my son Jacob, a graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, is a steam engineer in a "municipal trash to electricity" facility at our local waste recycling plant here in Haverhill, MA. For most of his life, he worked summers on fishing charter boats (starting at age 11) at Hampton Beach, NH. However, he now understandably prefers a career on terra firma.

My daughter, Rachael is a Registered Nurse. Last year she decided to see the world and became a traveling nurse. After an assignment in Arizona she is now spending the next 6 months in California. Rachael is quickly finding out how friendly the rest of the country is. Too many people here in New England have such an "uppity and snotty" attitude. With that admission, I would like to make the disclaimer that NOT all of us are like that although, I must admit too many act in such an arrogant manner.

Rich has three adult children: Jennifer is a RN with two kids, Allie and Daniel. Allie is 11 and still thinks I am her "fairy godmother,"(better sounding to me than "grand ma!). Daniel is 13 and is a spitting image of Rich. Early comparison pictures are scary since they look so much alike. Next is his oldest son Travis with his wife, Angela in Ft. Lauderdale. She recently gave birth to their first child, sweet Alexis. Rich's youngest is Chris, who is a graduate of the New Hampshire Technical College and is very successful in the construction industry.

As a healer and hypnotherapist, my intention of creating this site is to provide a forum to communicate between all those who wish to create lifestyle change, especially in the field of weight loss. This is YOUR site too and TOGETHER we can share experiences, hope and strength for BETTER HEALTH and a HAPPIER life.
