WHO or WHAT is D.E.V.A.?
Deva means angel, nature spirit in ancient sanskrit. (Delicate, Extreme, Visionary, Astounding.) One who is beautiful and playful. The illuminated one. Divine reality. Internal pleasure. Potency. Goddess in Hindi.
I had no idea of the meaning of this name, until recently. It's just a nickname my mom gave me when I was a kid. She, of course, was referring to me as a DIVA, but as soon as the media started over saturating the word, I changed the spelling and now many people from other countries have written to give me the definition of this word. I dig it even more now and will own it proudly : )
Born in Sacramento, California and raised in Hollywood, East L.A., Azusa and Covina, California, I am a singer/songwriter/lyricist, currently residing in Floriduh.
Before moving here, I spent some time living in Las Vegas, Nevada and Vienna Austria. Ja! Ich spreche Deutsch and party like an animal!!! :)
I sing in a band called DEVAMACHINE, with the very UNIQUE and CHARISMATIC, MACHINE (Vile), and the FABULOUSLY DYNAMIC and QUIRKY, ALIENXXX

I was also involved with another project called SHTRIGA with the VERY TALENTED and ENIGMATIC, MR. David "SCARY" Perry. The project is now disbanded :( It was fun while it lasted though.
I love both projects very much : ) They are both very different musically and I got to write lyrics for both.
I consider myself more of a songwriter and lyricist than a singer, because I have not yet been able to find that place inside of me, where I am comfortable enough to bare my soul before God and the world. People who do that are magical. Until now, that magic has eluded me.
I take life as it comes ... go with the flow... roll with the punches. I believe things happen when they're supposed to. We cannot rush our ultimate destinys. What will be will be.
I'm pretty easy going, but I'm definately no angel. I can be impatient, demanding, overbearing, cynical, critical, defiant, rebellious, sarcastic, cruel, cutting, hysterical, human; )
I'm a Virgo, so I'm very fond of order. Chaos, clutter and disarray make me nervous. My better traits are my patience, understanding, compassion, affection, adoration, light heartedness, sense of humor and creativity.
I love Champagne, Bubble Baths, Candle light, Martinis, Fast Cars, Fine Cuisine, Goddess Worship, Marathon Sexxx, Floggers, Naughty Boys, Fine Art, Good Music, Photoshop, Learning and Interesting Conversation.
