Sounds Like
Who I sound like, well I basically sound like me, I don't try to sound like anybody else but I am influenced by quite a few. I spin underground hip-hop (such as Slum Village, Gang Starr, Pete Rock, D.I.T.C., The Roots, Wu-Tang Clan, Lootpack, Akinyele, ATCQ, Mobb Deep, Little Brother, & etc) & deep house (such as Masters At Work, Frankie Feliciano, Mood II Swing, Richard Les Crees, Julius Papp, Naked Music, Atjazz, Blaze, & etc.), those are the styles of music that I play the most but I also love other genres as well.
When it comes to producing I'm not one of those who make music similar to the people that inflenced me cause I try to make beats the only way I know how which is self taught (I sit at the machine & crank out beats). .. To See Who Else Is On Podomatic Click Here Then.
Well Joey Joe is my name, I fashioned it after one of my favorite hip hop producers (back in the day) which happened to be Marley Marl at the time. I've been DJing & producing (on a small scale) for too long, I started out as a rapper & after a while I was making pause mixtapes & beats to listen/rhyme to then later on I ended up learning how to mix, blend, and dj, while still being a emcee but the more I focused on the music the less I rhymed & the more I got into production (making hip-hop beats). I made a few beat tape albums but on a local level but I wanted to take it to a bigger level with the right equiptment & I'm still doing just that. I've been spinning (hip-hop & reggae) for & at parties since 1994 (would love to spin on the radio if I get the chance) but I have been mixing mixtapes for even longer. I've been into house music for a long time but didn't start spinning/mixing it until the late 90's but I still love underground hip-hop too. I'm a vinylholic, even though I have tons of cds & cassettes, I still crave & seek music on vinyl more than any other format. Right now I'm just perfecting my craft while getting attention through the internet for now, so I'm seeking fans, business connections, & socializing on my downtime.
Steve Rachmad (Music Man; Tresor; Delsin): Love this release! This gives me the real detroit techno feeling. Very nice production! Chymera (Delsin, Ovum, NRK): Interesting sound. I like M-theory, will play in deeper sets Efdemin (Dial; Cocoon; Liebe Detail) Nice Music, Keep On! Donato Dozzy (Aqualplano/Dozzy Rec; Mental Groove): Finally some good music...are all beautiful, they complement each other and one in particular caught my attention: Unsubstance. Mikkel Metal (Kompakt; Echocord): It's good solid work. My favorite is no doubt "unsubstance" the last track. I really like it's astmosphere. Keep up the good work. Christian Zingales (Blow Up Magazine): I really enjoy the tracks, review on the May issued of BlowUp magazine Johannes Volk (Axis; Lifeworld) The promo of "scientists and spirits" is dope, very deep spiritual stuff. really like it Rose & Ulysse (Liebe Detail; Motoguzzi): Faithfull work keep it like that

Leo Anibaldi (Cannibald/Rephlex/Acv):without doubt "Berlin Winter Nights" is the most important track in this release, the groove stimulates the trip, is mental and cerebral, follows the teachings of other roman producers as Donato Dozzy and Brando Lupi.. Ra. H (Morphine/Sistrum/Styrax) ..The third track is what i like best, mental and poisonous :))) JuJu & Jordash (Psychostasia/Aesthetic Audio): I like 'The End Begins'! Dark, moody and has a real character of its own. Crowdpleaser (Mental Groove): "The End Begins" is really nice. Will play and maybe list!
