About me: The Doylestown Rainbow Room is a safe, supportive, confidential, and welcoming environment for LGBTQA Youth ages 14 to 21. We provide support and education, and somewhere to just "hang out" and be yourself!
Every week, we have programs and activities, such as movies on the "big screen," games, art, advocacy on LGBTQA and other social justice issues, sexuality education, "Open Mic" coffee houses, and NightsOUT. We also offer resources for youth & GSAs alike.
If you are an LGBTQA Youth age 14-21, we welcome you to join us at the Rainbow Room! We meet every Wednesday (except National Holidays) from 5:30-8:00pm in the basement of Planned Parenthood's Doylestown office, located in Suite 2E of the Atrium complex at 301 South Main Street in Doylestown.
Also, we're starting a new Youth Theatre/Peer Education Troupe, which will use Theatre to entertain, educate, and advocate about sexual health and LGBTQ issues. Contact christine.gordon@ppbucks.org, Theatre Troupe Director, for more information.
For directions or information, or to be on our weekly e-mail list, direct your e-mail to rainbowroom@ppbucks.org. Visit our official website at www.ppbucks.org/rainbowRoom.htm.
If you need any more information, or just need someone to talk to, Paul Foster is the Education Assistant for the Rainbow Room, and is a Rainbow Room youth. His AIM screen name is PaulRRoom.
Christine Gordon, Rainbow Room Coordinator, can be reached on AIM at ChristineRRoom. Marlene Pray, Director of the Rainbow Room, can be reached on AIM at MarleneRRoom.
We hope to see you at a future meeting!
Love, the Rainbow Room staff - Paul, Christine, Marlene, and Rachele!
PS. Check out this amazing film "Mars," created by Jim, a Rainbow Room youth!
"Mars" will be featured in New Hope Celebrates Film, an LGBTQ Film Festival in New Hope April 26-27! For more information about the film festival, visit newhopecelebrates.com
