A tree that fell down in the forest that no one was around to hear because moss has a tendancy to grow on damp stuff and when a stone is rolling it tends to stay dry....uh.... and moss don't grow on dry stuff.... .
Once upon a time, in the small, suburban beach town of Sarasota (Florida), there lived three handsome young men. Bored with complimenting each other's good looks, they decided to start a band. Not just any band -- no sir! This band was going to be LOUD ANGRY and emotional, you know, like Korn! After all, it was 1996 and everyone knew you weren't getting groupies unless you sounded like Korn.
So into the garage they went, mastering their craft and molding their sound into something that sounded more like the Goo Goo Dolls! But it was all good because they knew the Goo Goo Dolls had groupies, too. They decided to learn a bunch of cover tunes, as well, to help get them booked in to clubs that wouldnt consider any of the all-original bands. Boy oh boy, things for Dragonfly Ripple were going great. Playing shows, meeting people and building a small but loving fan base was what it was all about.
Then came old man Rave with his evil sidekick, Ecstacy. They basically ruined the live music scene for the boys in Dragonfly Ripple and many of the other bands in town. Dwindling interest in live music and the ever-increasing use of techno-loving drugs were the reason for Dragonfly Ripples demise. To hell with it all! they cried.
So they went their separate ways. Chris joined the revolution against techno music and battled it out on the front lines with other rock bands. John found sanctuary playing drums for a higher power -- with his congregation. Ben found satisfaction in his home recording studio playing with himself.
But eventually, growing restless (and fat!), they decided it was time to give it another go. So here they are, eight years later (and a shade or two grayer) with new CDs. This time around they're going all-original. Their music sounds like a funky hybrid of Weezer, Goo Goo Dolls and Iron Maiden ... or so they've been told. They like to refer to their sound as MILF Rock.
