East To West
Written by Mark Hall and Bernie Herms
Here I am, Lord, and I'm drowning
in your sea of forgetfulness
The chains of yesterday surround me
I yearn for peace and rest
I don't want to end up where You found me
And it echoes in my mind, keeps me awake tonight
I know You've cast my sin as far
as the east is from the west
And I stand before You now
as though I've never sinned
But today I feel like I'm just one mistake away
from You leaving me this way
Jesus, can You show me just how far
the east is from the west
'Cause I can't bear to see the man
I've been come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'Cause You know just how far the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other
I start the day, the war begins,
endless reminding of my sin
Time and time again Your truth
is drowned out by the storm I'm in
Today I feel like I'm just one mistake away
from You leaving me this way
I know You've washed me white,
turned my darkness into light
I need Your peace to get me through,
to get me through this night
I can't live by what I feel,
but by the truth Your word reveals
I'm not holding on to You,
but You're holding on to me
You're holding on to me
Jesus, You know just how far
the east is from the west
I don't have to see the man I've been
come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'Cause You know just how far
the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other
One scarred hand to the other
From one scarred hand to the other

Books
Well there's the Bible of course, so that's 66 books for starters. But check my 'Reading List' in the left sidebar on
my blog.
In the meantime, I am trying to provide a list below using Frazy.com. It's pretty good, but I can't list every book I want to because some don't have pictures or cannot be found in the archive.
Also, if you're interested, you can keep up with my blog by going to http://gospelliving.blogspot.com/ and imputing your email address into the box on the right side of the page below the banner to receive email updates, or by dropping this link into your feed reader: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Pisteuo
Thank you so much for your encouragement today. It meant so much. What a beautiful verse. It spoke right to my heart!Praise God! Iron sharpens iron - thank you for being faithful in encouraging!
He is worthy of all we are, our obedience and very lives. He is the giver of grace and the changer of hearts.
Hahaha, I take for granted that you all don't celebrate cinco de mayo. It's a bit like St. Patrick's day except with tequila. It's not a national holiday here but we celebrate it a bit like you or I would celebrate St. Patrick's. It commemorates the Mexican's beating Napolean's forces in his march towards Mexico City in 1862.
This is what their cavalry would have looked like. Imagine some naked Indians riding bareback on cattle carrying machetes. Those forces beat a superior French force. Look it up in wikipedia. Very interesting story.
Hey Duane how's things with you and the family? Man you can do all the whinging you want to by the way with your position on the tipping food chain! lol
Hey congratulations Duane! I tried to find something non-feminine with my comment unlike Al did. Now only if you could get as lucky with your tipping things would be fantastic wouldn't they? No just joking but I could use a small little miracle sent my way at the moment.
My best wishes to both you and your wife Duane!
BTW my dad's doing well. He's gone back to work 3 weeks early against Dr.'s orders.
1 Timothy 3:4-5 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church?)
