| About EL KABONG! |
|
EL KABONG! was formed in 1992 from the ashes of several area star bands (most notably New Shoes and Tricks). Within weeks of their existence and continuing for many years, the band wrote and recorded a string of top 10 hits under several aliases, all of which you would recognize immediately. Wouldn't you know it, jerk lawyers tricked the band out of all credit for these tunes several years later, so now the band has to play all these songs as if they are cover tunes. This is a great country, but that part is just wrong. Being the good sports they are, the band dutifully plays most weekends, pretending they're not bummed out about the whole being duped thing.....or least that's how the story goes.
