I grew up in Sweden, close to nature and the forests.
With the city ten minutes away, between two mountains.
My parents had old records from the 60's and 70's so I was surrounded
by that sounds as a young girl.
Then something happened. When I started see
the beauty and experiencing the kicks you get out of discovering new sounds
and new music. Listening to the radio and going in to the city, standing
in the record store and listening to records… All sorts of music… It was a whole world of music out there to explore!
We had a guitar in the house which I started to
play on and my relatives had a piano. So I realized that you actually can
make your own tunes.
Eventually we got a computer and I installed
a music program with synthesizers and drum samples in it and that
was like a revolution to me, I could arrange and create tracks
all by myself….
My first wow experience in the world of electronica based music was when I heard the Swedish electronica band The Knife.
That was magic to me. Later on I started listening to Miss Kittin; she was
a great influence to me…. And through Ellen Allien I discovered Techno and the
beauty of sounds. These are three acts that I will always respect and have
close to my heart.
The new album is a reflection of my inner self. I have tried to collect
my feelings and thoughts into these songs. Combining all my influences
through out the album. All the electronica, electro, pop and techno stuff
I like so much. Exploring what I can do and create. Exploring life.
Trying to grip the beauty of emotions and dancing.
