Emily Greene gives songwriting an unconventional twist with her colorful range and expressive vocal style. Emily Greene's marriage of unorthodox vocals and honest lyrics shed light on a rawness rare in pop culture today. Noted for her creativity and originality, this young artist hails from Miami, Florida but has transplanted to vibrant New York City. Emily has been challenging the music world of independent writers and developing a loyal following. Her last EP, Note to Self, was a fresh take on young love, heartbreak, and the promise of new beginnings. Emily's new album will be out in the fall of 2009; Co-Produced by herself and David Brandwein (Turkuaz, Remote Control), mixed and mastered by Dan Romer (Ingrid Michaelson, Jenny Owen Youngs). This new album is a thematic continuation from her first EP matched with elaborate vocal arrangements and backed by strong writing. Blending the worlds of pop music and alternative music, Emily Greene is a promising act to keep an eye on.
