As far as what I write, I don't know if I'm influenced by anyone specifically male or female musically, more electromagnetically, from a person's, performer's and music's aura, so anything goes. I'm not aiming for any particular sound, just what music will make the song deliver the message best.
As far as what my VOICE ITSELF sounds like, I've been vocally compared most often to the 2 most juxtoposing singers in history: ***** ****** and ***** ******** (IRONY!). [These names have been astericked so as to not influence what YOU think of my voice]. Just goes to show you I AM a flexible singer! Just depends on what I'm singing! I don't hear how I nor do I try to sound like anyone nor either of those people, it's just what other people have told me. It's not like I sing and go, "Oh I'm going to concentrate on sounding like [whoever]" If anyone says that they DO do that, then their heart and soul can't really be in their performance.
(name of my music band / project) Hey ya'll! Well, due to popular demand (from the voices in my head) I have finally set up that Erica music page you all have wanted! Current songs posted do not reflect the only genre of music I want to do, but the only ones I have recorded that I did write so far (NOSIS kicks ass! Band motto: "WE PLAY 2 TYPES OF MUSIC: HEAVY, AND HEAVIER!" R.I.P.).
SO, just to explain whats paying on my page now, the first 2 songs listed are songs recorded with my previous band NOSIS. They sound nice and have actual production value and a full band of instruments. They may not sound like how they do in my head in these nice recordings, but so be it, you can still hear them fully developed.
The next 4 and NEWEST songs posted (Reign of Tears, Lilltih's Revenge, Kiss it all Away, Rocksteady On) are ones that I sat in front of the computer with an animal cracker can bongo drum, and just hot the record button, sang out and banged to. Those ones require a bit more imagination when you hear them as it is just my voice and a faint metallic rapping to accompany them. ENJOY!

I am an actress / cabaret performer / singer / cartoonist / clothing designer / traveler / rabble-rouser. The curse of being talented at so many things is that you seem to stay a bit unfocused. Yeah yeah, if you don't know me, that sounds pompous, but those who do know it took MANY YEARS to even get to the point of accepting a compliment without telling you afterwards why you shouldn't have given me one, so deal with my blunt modesty (it took a long time and no years of therapy nor mental meds to get here if that explains anything)... so let's focus together and MAKE SOME ART!

I would like to pursue recording the rest of my library, which includes rap, new-wave, opera, trance, funky, punky, rocky, show-tuney things and more. I NEED A BAND!!! Or, I will just have to finally figure out how to make computer back-up music. SHOW TIME, SYNERGY!!! Damn, I was hoping it would work that time. I'm working on being self sufficient, since I'm the main (aka, ONLY) person who cares about performing my songs. So far, I've got a mean tamborine and bongo drums skillset under my belt! YEAH!
