Heroes
I guess I would have to say my hero is Keith Whitley, because he was the best singer that ever lived and ever will be, as well as a down to earth, real, small town good ol' boy.
About me: Hello Everybody, I just want to say I'm sorry I have not been able to answer comments or emails. I have been in Johnson City, Tn in the hospital for the last 2 months. The hospital does not have internet that I can use. I hear about the messages though. Thanks for keeping us in your prayers. I promise to answer them all as soon as I can. I am doing good but I do have an infection that they are trying to find. If you would like to send donations the trust fund is still open. Thanks so much for everything. I have The Chill Of Lonesome Cd for sell now. You can buy it for $15 by sending Check or Money Order to

Hello my name is Ernie Thacker, I'm married to a beautiful lady named Dorthy. I also have two great kids, Keith 13 and Whitley 14. I am what alot of people call a miracle. In April of 2006 I was in a very bad automobile accident. In all medical terms I should have died upon impact. But anyway I am alive and have made alot of changes in my life. I am a Bluegrass musician, I started playing music professionally when I was 16, when I started playing with the lendgandary Dr. Ralph Stanley. I now have my own band called Route 23. Due to my accident I am having to take some time off in order to do some healing. Hopefully I will be going back out on the road sometime in the near future.
