The Birth of Eternal Legacy
In August of 2003, brothers Jason and Shaun Vanek formed epic metal band, Eternal Legacy. Shauns virtuoso ability on lead guitar proved to be the perfect match for brother Jasons aggressive rhythm guitar and emotion packed vocals. With drummer Steve Dukuslow adding fierce double bass antics, the group was soon producing a driving sound born of a very technical and precise way of playing. By blending baroque form, 20th century symphonic inspiration, and the bravado and menace of metal, the group has always kept a unique sense of themselves through their melodic songwriting. As the Vanek Brothers embarked on their compositional journey, comparisons were soon made to bands at the forefront of the epic and metal scene; including Rhapsody, Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Human Fortress, and Kamelot. The bands single Fires Wrath was chosen for inclusion on the 2004 compilation disc produced at the international Prog Power Festival held in Atlanta, Georgia. This year they will be included in the catalogue as well.
In late 2005, classically trained pianist Spencer Phillips joined the band on keyboards, his years of instruction at the renowned Cleveland Institute of music giving him a solid foundation on which to grow with the group- and grow he will because Spencer is only 13 years old. The little dude causes quite a stir where ever Eternal Legacy plays with his lightning fast fingers developed over hours of scale playing and practice!
The roster has been completed with the addition of Ian Savage on bass guitar, rejoining his band mates from their prior Mercenary days. This fierce and savage-looking musician stalks the stage like a panther providing solid, throbbing bass lines for the band.
2006 finds Eternal Legacy close to completion of the master mix of an exciting new LP self titled Eternal Legacy. In addition, the band continues to play shows in major venues in and around the Cleveland area, including The Cleveland Agora, The Odeon Concert Club, The Beachland Ballroom, and many more. Eternal Legacy has opened for
Finlands Sonata Artica twice, Jag Panzer, Chris Caffery of TranSiberian Orchestra, Dark Tranquility, Trouble, and Beyond Fear. They took part in the international festival Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles held in Cleveland. Eternal Legacy was the only local band that opened for the sellout show of the first American tour for the UKs Dragonforce at the Cleveland Agora. Their hard driving performance brought the house down and received a rave review for that concert on the webzine, MetalCovenant. They continue to provide a high energy live performance that truly connects with all their audiences. After completing the writing on a group of brand new songs, the band will head back into the studio this summer to begin recording their next album.

TOTAL METAL FESTIVAL 2007: Confermati anche I DARK FUNERAL!
Vi avevamo promesso promesso che il TMF2007 avrebbe determinato un notevole passo avanti rispetto alla precedente edizione e, se pure per molti di voi lo avessimo già dimostrato con la confermata presenza dei leggendari RAGE, non contenti, oggi vi confermiamo anche un’altra grande band: DARK FUNERAL (unica data italiana)!
A questo punto c’è davvero da aspettarsi qualcosa di mai visto al Sud! Tutto è programmato per essere perfetto. Due band di grande richiamo, la location (Stadio Comunale di Noicattaro) è stata riconfermata dopo gli innumerevoli apprezzamenti ricevuti dal voi l’anno scorso, l’aspetto logistico ed organizzativo sarà impeccabile, stand gastronomici, ottimo cibo e buona birra a prezzi accessibilissimi, banchetti di CD, merchandise e gadgets vari e… una sorpresa che sveleremo prestissimo!

TOTAL METAL FESTIVAL 2007: Rage Headliners! Unica data italiana!
Una delle più grandi Metal band tedesche di tutti i tempi, una vera e propria icona del genere: Per la prima volta al Sud Italia, arrivano i RAGE!!!
La Vivo Management ha scritturato la leggendaria band teutonica quale headliner del TOTAL METAL FESTIVAL 2007, per una unica data italiana!
Fin dai suoi esordi nell’ormai lontano settembre 2002, il TOTAL METAL FESTIVAL è stato un fenomeno in continua crescita. Ed oggi si può considerare ormai come l’evento più atteso nel Sud Italia!
Lo scorso anno fu fatto un notevole salto di qualità nel livello organizzativo ed artistico della manifestazione che esordiva finalmente in una location adatta ad un vero e proprio open-air festival, lo Stadio Comunale di Noicattaro (BA), riconfermata per il 2007 anno che consacrerà definitivamente il TMF tra gli eventi metal di “serie A”.
Ma non è tutto! E’ infatti notizia certa che in scaletta, subito sotto i Rage, sarà presente anche un co-headliner di Metal estremo!!! Ancora nessun nome, ma pare si tratterà anche qui di una band di altissimo livello!
La data ufficiale del Festival è Sabato 15 Settembre 2007.
Altre ottime band del panorama italiano sono state già confermate: Coram Lethe, Golem e Godyva.

Con ancora in corpo l’entusiasmo dell’emozionante successo di pubblico e di critica della scorsa edizione che vide protagonisti tra gli altri Necrodeath, Highlord, Rain, Dgm, Sudden Death ecc, lo staff della Vivo Management è in questi giorni (ormai da parecchi mesi per la verità) al lavoro sulla edizione “2007” del festival metal più bello della Puglia: TOTAL METAL FESTIVAL!
Al momento l’agenzia Pugliese è impegnata nella ricerca delle band Headliners, pare che quest’anno si voglia alzare di parecchio il livello della manifestazione, ma ancora non ci sono conferme rilevanti in tal senso. La location con tutta probabilità resterà la stessa della scorsa fortunata edizione, ovvero Lo stadio Comunale di Noicàttaro in provincia di Bari; infatti tale struttura si presta benissimo ad accogliere una manifestazione come questa in continua crescita, capace di contenere al suo interno diverse migliaia di metalheads inferociti.
La data deve ancora essere confermata ma si da per certo che sarà intorno alla prima metà di settembre.
Il nuovissimo sito del festival (che sarà contenuto nel sito della Vivo management in uscita questi giorni) è in fase di lavorazione e sarà raggiungibile all’indirizzo www.totalmetalfestival.it.
La Vivo Management promette uno show di tutto rispetto, che punta fondamentalmente a far acquisire credito alla Puglia e a far crescere la fiducia nello sviluppo di una vera scena metal nel sud Italia. Le premesse ci sono tutte, la professionalità anche, il pubblico… siete voi!
