Raised in NYC (Bronx), the members of Eves Fault were brought up in and around music. Both Josh and Hiram Melendez fathers fronted a rock band (S.T.B.) during the 70s thru the late 90s. Inspired by their fathers musical abilities, Josh and Hiram picked up instruments of their own and ventured into the music scene. In 1996 both cousins along with two other family members formed the band Melera. With poetic lyrics, melodic riffs and catchy hooks, Melera started out with a bang. Unfortunately just after two short years they disbanded leaving Josh on a five year binge of song writing and solo projects Hiram ironically joined S.T.B. on the drums for what seemed to be their final run. In 2004 Josh and Hiram decided to give it another try when they added Robert Melendez on lead guitar whose playing style definitely brought an edge to the group who was still in need of a solid drummer. The guys decided to give Joshs younger brother John a shot and he sealed the deal with a perfect fit. The chemistry was unbelievably tight and Eves Fault officially became a band. With a vast variety of influences such as The Beatles, Alice in Chains, STP, Soundgarden, Nirvana and Pearl Jam, just to name a few, Eves Fault provides a versatile style of rock.
Eves Fault has and continues to play throughout NYCs finest as well as legendary venues, CBGBs, The Knitting Factory, The Continental, Arlenes Grocery, Crash Mansion, R&R, Downtime and many more. Eves Fault were Finalist in M.E.A.N.Y. Fest 2004, awarded top vote getter out of 270 bands. This year they entered a worldwide competition; Emergenza Festival which they made Semi Finals.
The best way to describe Eves Fault is PURE ENERGY with powerful vocals, harmonies, crunching guitar, screaming leads, heavy bass lines, and hard hitting drums, its a definite high for music fiends. Eves Fault continues to reach out and thank their vastly growing fan base, Josh said it best You guys (the fans) make it happen.
