About me: I got the flying bug when I took my first commercial airline flight at 5 years old and told my mom when I grow up that I wanted to "drive the plane!" I never looked back - 15+ years and 5200+ flight hours later I'm one of the lucky ones who gets paid to do what I love.
Aside from that, I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York City (die-hard Yankee fan - living just 20 minutes from the stadium.) Moved to Daytona Beach, Florida (Yes, I do surf) to pursue my flying career and spent nearly 9 yrs. obtaining a Flight/Academic degree and teaching other fortunate souls to fly in sunny Florida. After that, it was a couple years working as a Manager/Chief Instructor for the USAF in Lakenheath, England and then back stateside to my current home in central TX (not as much of a "fish out of water" as you'd think!?) I finally got the "call from the majors" in 2008 and I'm enjoying a flight officer position with a Legacy carrier!
That's about it in a nutshell, my interests and other such tidbits are listed to the left but that doesn't begin to scratch the surface (I'm like an Onion - Layers!) Anyway, thanks for stopping by... Be sure to check out the website - www.FUBARHQ.com
Who I'd like to meet: Chuck Yeager - Who broke the sound barrier on October 14, 1947, flying the experimental X-1 at Mach 1 at an altitude of 45,000 feet - Keep in mind he achieved this milestone with two broken ribs he suffered two nights earlier while riding a horse. In a word - the guy's an animal and as a professional aviator, someone who challenges me to "Be the Best!"
If he's not available, then it has to be the person who has a check for a couple million bucks for me ... On second thought, I'd like to meet that person first, then Yeager - that way I can buy the the guy a BEvERage.
..
Prob. in the spring when the weather gets nice, I'll give you a heads up when I plan on coming to make sure your in town, so I can visit the whole Fam. ;)
