   About FAUNTS

Feel.Love.Thinking.Of.
FFRD-012
Release Date: February 17, 2009

1. Feel.Love.Thinking.Of.
2. Input
3. It Hurts Me all the Time
4. Out on a Limb
5. Lights are Always On
6. Das Malefitz
7. I Think I’ll Start a Fire
8. Alarmed/Lights
9. So Far Away
10. Explain

"Let's breathe a collective sigh of relief, because the five-piece Canadian outfit doesn’t disappoint with this album. Their second proper full-length, Feel... is rife with gauzy, shoegaze-influenced guitar compositions and effects-laden melodies that have a rather tranquilizing effect on one's mind."

Faunts Remixed
FFRD-002
Released November 18, 2008

1. M4 (Part I) (DVAS Macho Mix)
2. Memories of Places We've Never Been (T.H. White Remix)
3. M4 (Part II) (The Paronomasiac Remix)
4. Place I've Found (Mark Templeton Remix)
5. Twenty-Three (Cadence Weapon Dogcatcher Remix)
6. Parler de la Pluie et du Beau Temps (Copy Remix)
7. Instantly Loved (San Serac Instantly Dubbed Mix)
8. Gone With The Day (Graham Lessard Remix)
9. Will You Tell Me Then (Boy in Static Remix)
10. Instantly Loved (Set Transition Remix)
11. Of Nature (Brightest Feathers Remix)
12. Memories of Places We've Never Been (Domer Does Disco Remix)
13. Parler de la Pluie et du Beau Temps (Beaner's Sleepy Mix)
14. Gone With The Day (Faunts Stars Are Out Remix)

"Faunts Remixed features a selection of tracks from High Expectations/Low Results, as well as 2006's M4 EP, remixed by a wide range of contributors, including Cadence Weapon, San Serac, Boy in Static, Saxon Shore, and Faunts themselves, to name a few. Unlike most remix albums - and this is the main reason why I've featured it - Faunts Remixed is well-rounded and listenable, of all things, which is rare with this format."

M4 Digital EP
FFRD-001
Released December 11, 2007

1. M4 (Part II)
2. Sleepwalker
3. M4 (Part I)
4. Meno Mony Falls
5. Of Nature

"The aesthetic of M4 is noticeably more purposeful than their debut, with choice variations between tracks that add to the whole without disrupting the overall flow. Newfound fans from the Mass Effect realm who are looking for more of the same will not be disappointed, nor will they be bored. Faunts aren’t a one-trick pony. They’re the real deal."

High Expectations/Low Results
FFR-002
Released October 18, 2005

1. High Expectations
2. Instantly Loved
3. Memories of Places We've Never Been
4. Place I've Found
5. Parler de la Pluie et du Beau Temps
6. Will You Tell Me Then
7. Twenty-Three
8. Gone With the Day
9. Low Results

"As the record makes its way through such stellar moments as "Instantly Loved" and "Place I've Found," keyboards blend with guitars, and the vocals, although never prominent, sail steadily through the mix. In fact, the band's use of instruments is more than enough to create an intense experience. The 13-minute, snail-paced "Gone with the Day" adds slowcore and country to the relaxed atmosphere, greatly expanding the band's palette. And High Expectations/Low Results surprises as much as it soothes: a vocoder enters the picture on "Twenty-Three" while at the same time Faunts seem to be nodding to '70s psychedelia. A satisfying record for any fan of spacy rock."

[Faunts are] "driving along the same star-lit road as The Smiths' "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out," but these love-sick passengers are lucky enough not to get hit head-on by that double-decker bus" - Fluxblog

"Gorgeous, lush shoe-gazey indie rock...very pleasurable" - Music For Robots

"Despite the self-deprecating title, 'High Expectations/Low Results' is an amazingly ambitious and expansive album, garnering the group comparisons to the likes of Sigur Ros and the Cure. While the record's sound is completely Edmonton - cold, sparse, yet comforting - it's hard to believe that the band's combination of ambient guitar, soft drums and ethereal keys was born here rather than Montreal or Toronto" - Vue Weekly

It's weird how some of your music depresses me yet I love it. I feel like it reminds me of the 80's or some city with water puddles and skycrapers. It also reminds me of my childhood somehow. I love your songs:)

Like many other guys here, I first heard your M4 Part 2 in the ending credits of Mass Effect. I loved the game, but I loved the song just a bit more.

Hey !

I've discovered your music a few months ago through a friend that I will ever thank enough... I had heard part of 'Lights Are Always On' from the menu of a DVD, but your whole musical work is just incredible in its entirety.
You have the potential of the largest groups in this world, and I was expecting a show in Montreal during my time there, in vain...
Plan your next concert in Paris, I'm waiting for you !

xoxo

I bought all your albums!! I really love your music. I was also hoping you could enable #10, from your Remixed album, to work on here so I can place it as #1 on my profile! :)
