I'd guess Renegades is just the new album title name. Afterall, in an interview during Sonisphere (i think, can't quite remember) Grant said they were working on the "7th Feeder album" in Wales.
All this mystery and such is to get everyone talked and hyped up for things :] and hearing the Renegades sample, i am well hyped :D

In the song "Sentimental" the lyrics go "why are you so sentimental?"...But I'm still gonna say; if the band is changing it's name from Feeder to Renegades, then it would be quite disappointing. I've grown up with Feeder and it would be a shame to lose that, it is sentimental to a lot of the fans. I don't see the reasoning behind changing the name if it's going to happen, it wouldn't help promotion of the new album, instead it would most likely hinder it. I'm hoping Renegades is the album title!
oh come on now guys don't change your name! renegades sounds so lame, feeder is who you guys are as a band. you should stick with feeder, it sounds so much better and that's always been your name. it's a like a symbol or something. don't take away that name!
