This is a quote from a friend i met on Myspace. I'm re-directing this to " all women " who fancy the wanna be life , and who don't seem to know what a "good man"(of any race or creed) looks like, along with the sincere hope that more women (as well as men )will take the time to see realities of a relationship..as it unfolds just remember ..you get what you give
"Good Black Men" are among us. We pass them on the streets, in the malls and the halls at work. Most we can't see because we don't know what a good black man really looks like. He usually isn't flashy enough or rich enough to turn our heads. He might not wear a Armani Suit or drive a Lexus. He might not have a "body like Tyson with a Denzel face." As I've matured,I realize it's better to find someone who has your back than someone who turns your head. A good Black Man doesn't agree wholeheartedly with everything you say. He doesn't just tell you what you want to hear and do the opposite. He doesn't declare how sensitive, sweet, caring, sincere, he is (He won't have to because it shows). He has his own opinions and you may clash, but he doesn't have to degrade you to prove he's right. He even admits at times to being wrong, especially if you are willing to do the same. A good Black Man is not going to meet your every requirement. He is human with frailties and faults mixed in with all of his wonderful, strong attributes. He needs your love and respect. He needs to feel that you don't live to "catch" him doing something wrong so you can declare, "Aha! I knew you were a dog!!" A good Black Man doesn't necessarily give you a huge birthday or Valentine's gift. He shows his love in the ways that are comfortable to him. Don't judge him by stereotypes. No one is really living a fairy tale. You'll miss out on your own fairy tale by buying into the myth that our men are no good. It's just not true. Black Men, we salute you, and thank you for who you are and all you've done. I hope to meet not only these men but also the women that appreciate them.
"Appearance is an image we all see each other as. To really care for, like, or have love for another is to know who they are in the inside. You can't care, like or love someone just by their outside appearance, it's what's inside that really matters."

About me: Hello ,and "Welcome to my site". As You can see , I'm a Semi- Pro Musician / Music Educator , with Bass being my specialty.
I've been playing /performing for about 33 years , 5 of which were spent Studying Bass at 2 School's.."The Phila Music Academy" (aka "PMA") , and "Combs College of Music".
Many thanks to Dr. Jacob Neupauer( Combs College of Music), and Principle Bassist Carl Torello of The Phila Orchestra , my mentor Warren(Sunny)Sunkett Jr. , And My lifelong friend and bro..Johnny O..For whatever i am in the realm of Music ,or Being the "Bassist I've Become "..it's all you're fault ....thank you ..lol.
Who I'd like to meet: Fellow Musicians that are "Serious" about their craft and all that comes with it. In a world of musicians..few seem to want to study the craft of Musicianship..most just want to "just play by ear"..which is great to learn you're way around the instrument ( i started that way myself..until i saw a guitar-player buddy of mine audition for Patti Labelle , and the Music Director asked him "could he play this chart..he couldn't read music ..that changed everything!).I found that a Serious course of study and work make the musician..what he is..let someone try that on me now..lol.
