Free Henry!, a rock n’ roll jam band that captures the spirit of pioneering and evocative jazz rhythms and melds it with their descriptive lyrics that catapults their listener into a unique experience. This Buffalo, NY band combines their poetic lyrics with the revolutionary and transcendent sound of bands such as U2 and The Beatles into a fresh new vibe that re-shapes the notes on a scale.
Free Henry!’s sincere musicality and organic growth comes from the interplay of four very distinct and vibrant members. Bob Buckley is the voice of the group and the undercurrent. Buckley is backed by Alex Foote on guitar whose electrifying intensity is rivaled only by his catchy and catching enthusiasm. Bassist Derek Presti and drummer Pat Mannella provide the directing and driving rhythm that hangs this eclectic group together. Free Henry!’s music fused with Buckley’s profound lyrics craft an awe-inspiring sound.
Together, Free Henry! creates a delicate, but powerful echo; teeming with life.
This jazz-influenced, jam-heavy pop/rock hybrid comes armed with intelligence, insight, inspiration, and the desire to shake up the status quo with a sound that is unmistakably their own.
“Our goal is to build a career and identity for Free Henry! versus a quick out-of-the-box hit single artist. We strive to connect with our fans on all levels and will continue to mature throughout our career path.” -Bob Buckley
Free Henry! is an innovative definition for a new era in rock music. In addition to their cultured talent, Free Henry!’s trend setting style and appearance launches them into the spotlight within a world of commercial marketability.

~WHAT THE PRESS IS SAYING ABOUT FREE HENRY!~
"Although their proficiency lies in a genre that's not exactly
radio-friendly, the members of Free Henry! possess more musical talent
than a good deal of what now occupies the airwaves. How a big-time
record label has yet to offer these guys a paycheck is perplexing."
"This Western New York-based quartet proves that there is actual,
authentic musicianship still present in the music industry." ~Paul Lane, The Niagara Gazette
"They certainly don't skimp on giving you the feel good, stuck in your head choruses. Expect mainstream pop rock, but with more guts than you're used to hearing. And they know how to do what they do very well. If you want to describe it to a friend in 4 words you could say: smart minded rock pop." ~Brandon Schlia, Buffalo Rising
“Free Henry! emerges as an up-and-coming rock band whose style infuses elements of acoustic rock, jazz, and blues harmony with a sound that is uniquely theirs. Originally crafted lyrics by singer/songwriter and guitarist Bob Buckley puts Free Henry! outside the norm, as they lay a basic foundation of melodies and layer upon layer of new-age sounds. This young quartet loves to jam, and their diverse compositions display their intricate and dynamic groove.” ~Caitlin DeRose, Artvoice Magazine (Buffalo, NY)
"Free Henry! is a refreshing new band from Buffalo, NY with an uplifting musical approach.
This cat can sing. Great tone and good pitch. He is a very emotional singer with interesting lyrics, definitely a winning combo." ~Tune Review (Rochester, NY)
“After the first listen, you’ll get an insight as to who these up-tempo versatile musicians are. Free Henry!’s sound is sure to grab your attention and invites you to join in for a passionate “Free Your Soul” musical experience.”
~Charlotte Burnett, SMASH Music Magazine (Georgia)
~WHAT THE PRESS IS SAYING ABOUT DEBUT ALBUM 'SUMMERS ON NEPTUNE'~
“Calling upon rock influences with hints of jazz and blues, the members of Free Henry! clearly put their all into this album. The listener can’t help but feel a bit better about life in general after taking in ‘Summers on Neptune,’ with the band’s infectious enthusiasm impossible to ignore.” ~Paul Lane, The Niagara Gazette
"Free Henry!'s debut album, Summers On Neptune, draws its inspiration from the arts, the beauty of the natural world, with a few surprising sources as well." ~Bert Gambini, WBFO's Music Director
"The band's debut album, Summers on Neptune, tells of a promising future for Free Henry! Buckley's lyrics are as rich and entertaining as his voice, which has a full sound, and is a cross between Dave Mathews and M. Doughty of Soul Coughing."~Paul Lauricella, SUNY Brockport's "The Stylus"
“The ultimate goal of a jam band is to create a seamless flow on a record, a sort of melodic stream of consciousness. Free Henry! accomplishes this and more. One song from the local band’s latest effort ‘Summers on Neptune’ transitions with ease into the next, allowing the listener to get lost in the smooth melodies.” ~Paul Lane, The Niagara Gazette
