sa bluz i bugi osnovom stvarao je postepeno, a sredinom 70-ih se proslavio
albumima "Tres Hombres" i "Fandango", kao i hitovima "La Grange" (1973) i "Tush"
(1975). U sledećoj deceniji svom muzičkom stvaralaštvu dodali su sintisajzere i
snimili bestseler albume "Eliminator" (1983) i "Afterburner" (1985), kao i serijal video
spotova sa stilizovanim automobilima i ženskim heroinama. Ti spotovi postali su
jedan od simbola muzičke televizije MTV, a i učvrstili su ikonografski izgled članova
grupe - dvojica sa bradama, to jest gitarista Bili Gibons (Billy Gibbons) i basista Dasti Hil, i treći bez brade koji se preziva "Brada", to jest bubnjar Frenk
