Yes, the rumors are true...we are calling it a night. There is no real defining reason as to why, we just felt that the band had run its course. We want to thank every single one of you who has bought our record, seen us play, drank beers with us, wore our tshirts, allowed us to sleep on your floor, booked us, took pictures of us, toured with us, cooked for us, read to us, played with us, left comments here for us...basically everyone ever. We couldnt have done it without you guys. Thank you for years of support, and remember...never forget the Gravity! Here is the official press release.
"Denver rock band Grace Like Gravity has called it quits after four years as a staple on the Colorado rock circuit. There were no hard feelings, fist fights, or crying sessions; the band mutually decided to go their seperate ways. Members of Grace Like Gravity will continue on in the Denver scene in outifits such as Sound of Sinners (featuring ex-members of Love Me Destroyer) and Tri-Dog.
A final show will be held Thursday, July 21st at Rock Island in downtown Denver, featuring longtime Gravity friends Signal to Noise (who are also celebrating their CD release), Cost of Living, and Scott Swarers (ex-Gamits, The Last Chance Diaries). This will be the only chance to get your hands on the posthumous Grace Like Gravity EP "No Sense of Urgency"."
Anyways, we love you all, especially each and every person involved in even the smallest way with the Denver local music scene. We have all made incredible friends here, and have seen incredible bands come and go. We have truly been blessed to share the stage with you all.
