   Mark, the Guitartist's Blurbs
About me:
I am lost in the solitude of thought. In my head I hear symphonies I cannot compose and follow stories I cannot write. I have never had a bad dream. I believe in magic, I have seen the impossible, and I have a personal time vortex. I can't cook, but I sure can eat. I don't dance, but I sometimes make people want to. Also, I find that merely sitting in front of a keyboard chases the words from my mind... ____________________________________________________________ _ I am a 20 year veteran of music appearing in such bands as "Great Awakening" (1990-1994, Rock, Greensboro, NC), "Bob Spelled Backwards" (1991-1996, Comedy/Folk/Bizarre, Boone/Greensboro/Sunset Beach, NC),"3-Five-7" (1994-1997, Folk/Rock, Boone, NC), "Jiffylust" (1996-1998, Jazz Fusion, Boone, NC), "Garden of Sirens" (1998, Goth Rock, Wilmington, NC), "The Muse" (1998-2000, Prog-Rock, San Diego, CA), "Magnuson" (2002-2004, Prog-Rock, San Diego, CA), "earthShine" (2004-Present, Psychadelic Techno/Folk, San Diego, CA value="http://void.snocap.com/s/T3-31324-TXQDN32CQS-S/" />

Spring is here and so are the butterflies! This week I have a gallery of a particular group of butterflies called Brushfoots. Brushfoots are the most commonly known and encountered of the large colorful butterflies (excluding the swallowtails) found in Florida and the Americas. These include the monarchs, fritillaries, buckeyes, and the viceroy below (who has nearly identical markings as the toxic monarch butterfly) to keep it from being eaten by birds.... cool trick, huh? :-)

Click the butterfly below to see my gallery - and please let me know what you think!

Thanks for looking!

Hello Mark,

Thanks for the friending and interest in my book. It's a story that melds Native American ways with the shamanic traditions of Old Europe and Tibet. The drama involves medicine workers grappling against alien spirits in the realm of altered states consciousness.

Some people reach out to the mystical.
And sometimes it’s the mystical that reaches out and pulls people in.
