HEAL THE NATIONS
A peaceful gathering brought to you by Soul Live Productions (a chapter of The ARC of New Hope), that aims to unite the human family in an environment of music, performance art, spoken word and ideas for social change.
Vision:
Music has proven one of the most effective tools for promoting positive social change to a broad, mainstream audience. Calls for social change have found expression in just about every modern musical form (hip-hop, reggae, punk, rock, heavy metal). Heal The Nations will build on this synergy, using music not only as a means of expression, but as a backdrop for pioneering ideas that bring social and environmental justice to the cultural mainstream.
A roster of popular local music artists and spoken word artists will provide the central focus for the first year of the event. Against the backdrop of music, we would like to see local non-profit advocacy groups provide engaging programming and displays for both adults and children on the theme of 'Healing', promoting new solutions and encouraging reflection on the role of social and environmental justice. A variety of artists will also express on the theme of social change, using media and performance to create a contemporary perspective on the art of healing the nations.
Event:
Heal The Nations is a community oriented outdoor event featuring musical programming from Noon to 7pm, as well as a variety of displays and activities on the themes of social engagement, highlighting successful and innovative ways to make social change happen. A number of leading social and environmental organizations will invited to showcase their most innovative ways of using music, art and spoken word to engage and educate the public using thought provoking approaches.
Heal The Nations is a free event, run by volunteer staff and supported by in-kind donations.

Are you an artist that wants to use your talent for the greater good of humanity? Do you use art to provoke debate and awareness of issues social and environmental justice? If so, Heal The Nations may be the perfect venue for you!
Heal The Nations will be displaying a number of visual works of art created by local contemporary artists who are using creative expression to help promote positive social change.
In addition to visual arts, Heal The Nations also provides opportunities for dancers and performing artists looking for a venue to raise public awareness about social and environmental issues. We are looking for innovation and efficiency, so please send us your ideas!
