About me: Hey. I'm a writer, reader, sometimes fool. I've had short stories published in Nocturnal Ooze, and Horror Bound Magazine. Forthcoming fall/winter 2009, tales in: Twisted Tongue 13, House of Horror Anthology, House of Horror Vol. 3, House of Horror 1st print special edition, Morpheus Tales special flash issue, and Morpheus Tales Fantasy Femmes special issue . And I've recently had the pleasure and heartbreak of helping Dark Recesses and Horror Library with story selection.
I've lived in Michigan, Tennessee, and Colorado. I've been to every state except Florida. I'll make it there, eventually. I love rock climbing and I exercise every now and then because I want to stay young. If you're drunk and sad you might find me attractive.
As for jobs: I've logged (fun and tough), installed commercial fitness equipment(fun and exhausting), drove over the road truck(not so fun, but the scenery's great),
and I'm landscaping to feed myself while I rewrite a few novels and sell them. I'm not a very needy person. Books, music, friends and family and some personal pride work for me. I have a hard time hanging around with people who aren't passionate about something.
I love what everyone else loves--Family, friends, reading, writing, music. And I find odd things interesting. Fanatics scare me--whether it's religion, politics, whatever.
Some of my favorite authors and I recommend them to everyone, give them a chance: Tom Piccirilli, Douglas Clegg, Peter Straub, John Connolly, Liz Massie, Clive Barker, Jack Ketchum, Tom Piccirilli again.
Some great magazines: Shroud, Cemetery Dance, Apex Digest, Magazine of fantasy and science fiction, Asimovs, Weird Tales, Twisted Tongue, Morpheus Tales, Horror Bound Magazine, Space and Time, Alfred Hitchcock Mystery, Dark Recesses, Liquid Imagination, Ruthless Peoples, Silver Blade, Static Movement. Damn, I know I'm forgetting some....Oh yeah: Murky Depths, Necrotic Tissue, Withersin.
I'm writing a series of Horror novels; a series of Western novels; and a series of Dark Fantasy. I'm hoping I'll have the final drafts for the horror novels and westerns finished by the end of next year. And I'm rewriting a lot of short stories to build up my credit list and improve at the craft.
Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to read any of my work.
Example's of my work:
Horror Bound E-zine Though I feel like I can write a lot better than this one now--ahh, it's all learning and rounding curves.....................
Morpheus Tales Special Flash "The Nun"
Twisted Tongue Magazine "Boys without faces."

It says I'm smart and witty. Ha! These tests are dumber than me. :)
Who I'd like to meet: Other writers, readers, lovers of all things good and dark and mysterious. People with passion about life, who have something to believe in, something to say.
"Some writers one admirers and others make one want to do as they do, or try. For me, Joe Pulver is of the latter type. His imagination is so vile so much of the time that it makes me giggle with amazement. And the prose so deadly visionary. I'm grateful that the pieces in this collection are those of a fellow horror writer who has raised the ante on what it means to be such a creature." - Thomas Ligotti
Greetings! I just wanted to let you know that my new novella, Apartment 14F: An Oriental Ghost Story, is out NOW! The publisher, Damnation Books, is running a cool promotion called variable pricing, whereby the first copy is FREE then the price increases daily. At the moment the PDF is selling for only $1.10, almost a quarter of the RRP. Get it HERE!
Loads of other great reads on offer too. After all, what the hell else can you buy for $1.10?
I'll be putting more magazines up on eBay as I read them (already sold my pile of read magazines). My next magazine auction will probably be for a lot of 2 older magazines. The Horror Show from 1987 and Deathrealm from 1991. This coming weekend or the following. I'm halfway through reading each magazine. Keep an eye out.
Nate Kenyon seems to be lucky for me. I won a signed hardcover of Bloodstone last year from Apex. And then won all those signed paperbacks of his from apex this year. So far I've read Bloodstone and The Reach and enjoyed them both. If you're interested, I currently have the signed paperback of Bloodstone (because I already own the Harcover) up on eBay.
