Heather Rose combines the harmony of the Bangles, the siren in the voice of Tanya Donelly, the grit of The Throwing Muses & Kristin Hersh, the who cares of Joan Jett and the answer to that question in Karen Carpenter. She uses the driven meloncholic wit of Aimee Mann and the driving screw-you politics of Sleater Kinney. Heather Rose keeps the conversational country of Lucinda Williams in her heart, the passion and pulse of Tori Amos in her being, and the sharp bluntness of Liz Phair in her fists. She is strong enough to stand tall next to Sheryl Crow and humble enough to bow her head in her presence. Heather Rose is a conglomorit of all that has ever been and will be in a female front person... but she still talks to everyone at the end of her set and pokes fun at herself, cracking the occasional joke onstage.

Winner of 4 Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll Awards, including Best Female Vocalist and Best Song: “Here Again”, Heather Rose's melodic, magnetic vocals follow in the tradition of Sheryl Crow, Liz Phair, and Aimee Mann. Her lyrics, according to the Northeast Performer are, “…clever and honest and her delivery is pure energy”. Boston's The Noise, where Heather took home Best Female Singer in 2001 states she “…has a stage presence that transcends genre. She can sing sweetly or lustily, scream righteously, and draw the audience in. Her songs are folky, gently twangy, and lovely. (And catchy!)”.
Whether she’s performing solo or rocking the stage with her band Heather Rose & The Drama, you’ll hear wailing rock anthems, slower pop ballads, country twanged ditties, and of course Heather’s trademark break-up tunes, delivered from an optimistic, survivor-striver standpoint.
Heather's pop-rock sensibility and numerous musical styles create a new interpretation of rock to make you think, feel and move.

If everyone we know donates a buck and tells their friends to donate a buck, little by little, much like the concept of "Paying It Forward", what was once a small idea will become a big sum and we will have enough to go into the studio to record all those tracks ya'll have been asking for!

There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives. *** IF THERE IS NOT A 1 OR A 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE IT YOUR SUBMISSION WILL DELETED....
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
