I hate this section alot of my interests are listed in the sections below. Things that interest me are other people, animals, the environment, wizardry and witchcraft, many periods and areas of history including WWI, WWII, Ancient Briton, Ancient Eygpt, the Vikings, The Frondes, The English Civil War, The French Revolution this list is pretty endless as it lengthens as I find out more things. I'm no expert in anything and tend to just have a bit of knowledge on a lot of things.
Things I like; I have a massive shoe addiction and have lost count of how many pairs I own, but hey you can never own too many, can you? can you? Silver jewellery, cats, bats, owls, plants, Carlsberg but if you're buying I'll have a double Southern Comfort and Lemonade or a Tequila ;), chocolate, socks (although this may be a continuation of the shoe problem, I am not a house elf), stars, blue, purple, green, black, silver, people watching, Dr Pepper Zero, carousels, steam trains and traction engines, old buildings, museums, slides (particularly wiggly ones which you go down in sacks), helter skelters, bouncy castles, praline, white clouds, water, lilies and millions of other things. I read alot, pretty much anything but I've already said that.
Things I do; play darts (badly but it's fun) on the local friendly league, I go swimming once a week and after swimming we go belly dancing (when it's on, our teacher is travelling around Europe at the moment) which is brilliant fun, study...alot, occasionally go clubbing...to rock and goth clubs where they play music *sigh*, I don't go round randomly bashing people over the head with clubs, well not anymore...;), I'm sure I do other things apart from the usual, you know, eat, sleep, breathe, occasionally move.
Music
I've been a fan of Guns 'n' Roses for longer than I'd like to say. Other bands and artists I like are Rob Zombie and White Zombie, Foo Fighters,Pantera, The Gallows, Sisters of Mercy, Rammstein, James, Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs, Nina Simone, NIN, HIM, The Mission, Minstry, Linkin Park, Nickleback, Skid Row, Killers, Coldplay, Type O Negative, System of a Down, Offspring and many many more. I am also pretty heavily into Wizard Rock or Wrock and I love it. I'd reccommend some but there are so many, many more who are brilliant, it just covers so many genres, a few are Swish and Flick, Split Seven Ways, Creevey Crisis, Chaos of the Phoenix, The Whomping Willows, The Moaning Myrtles, The Remus Lupins, The Grindylows, Chasing Quaffles, DJ Luna Lovegood, DJ Accio, Malfoy Manor, Shrieking Shack Disco Gang, Luna Wants a Longbottom, Riddle TM, Harry and the Potters, Draco and the Malfoys, Marked as his Equal, Luna's Ceiling and The Parselmouths. Aside from that I've also been known to listen to big band jazz, classical, stuff from WWI & WWII anything really, I really love music, I just cannot sing or play an instrument, I lack talent in that area.
Movies
I love love love the Harry Potter films and own all the DVDs, my lovely boyfriend took me to the cinema on the day The Philosophers Stone previewed nationwide and managed to get us in yay. I was worried as to how good it would having read the books that my lovely friend Zandra had given me for Christmas but it was brilliant and they keep getting better and better, HBP next. I can't deal with alot of modern horror like 28 days later and the new Dawn of the Dead, the zombies move too fast, you're supposed to be able to run away from them! Also the creatures in 28 Days later are NOT zombies they haven't died and come back to life. I like the older stuff like the old Dawn of the Dead and the Evil Dead series. I like comedy like Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Run Fat Boy Run, Black Sheep was awesome, Dodgeball, there are others I just can't be bothered to name them all now. I love the Pirates of the Caribbean series mmm Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. Really eanjoyed 300, like comic book films like Constantine, Tank Girl, quite enjoyed Judge Dredd, Hellboy etc. I also like alot of kids films, Shrek, Ice Age, Aristocats, The Little Vampire, stuff like that really . I recently saw The Libertine with Johnny Depp and John Malkovich which was brilliant although definitely for older viewers, the life of the Earl of Rochester was debauched. I also love Dangerous Liasions with John Malkovich, the St Trinians films although I haven't seen the new one yet, Serenity, Interview with The Vampire, The Blade Series, An American Werewolf in London and Dog Soldiers. I would like to see Beowulf, The Golden Compass, Wall-e, Juno, Hellboy II and obviously HBP.
Television
Comedy mainly, M*A*S*H, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Black Books,Scrubs, Red Dwarf, My Name is Earl, Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy and Ugly Betty. I also like Hex, gutted there's no new series, enjoyed Buffy and got into Angel only after seeing an episode with Spike in it drools. I also watch a fair amount of sci-fi like Star Gate, Star Trek NG, Voyager, the original series and recently DS9, I also watched Enterprise by wasn't overly impressed, Firefly etc. I also love Doctor Who and Torchwood. I was watching a Town Called Eureka on the Sci Fi channel but we don't have it anymore :( We also watch alot of CSI, Miami, NY and Las Vegas and NCIS, I say we because my other half watches it I normally read or use the computer or study. Although it seems like I must watch alot of TV I don't really, it's mainly my partner who watches it Sometimes I catch Time Team or a history programme catches my eye but I rarely follow a series all the way through unless it really captures my attention like Firefly, Buffy, Black Books, Doctor Who and Torchwood. Heroes did capture my attention but life got in the way pesky life.
Books
Obviously I love the Harry Potter series. I also love Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels and Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld books, but again I've already said that. I will read pretty much anything, Anne Bronte (Anne is my fav and I don't like Emily's stuff but I will be giving it another go as tastes change), Jane Austin, James Joyce, Roddy Doyle, Roald Dahl, Jill Murphy, Margaret Atwood, Anne Rice, Angela Brazil, Terry Brooks, Tolkien oh there's just hundreds, if you're a friend on facebook and take a look at my i read and visual bookshelf sections you might get an idea. I tend to read alot and as I've finished studying for this year I am starting a new list of what I've read from Oct 13th;
Personal Demon - Kelley Armstrong, I have been waiting for this to come out in paperback for ages and resisting the temptation to get it in hardback because it is expensive and heavy to carry around. I wasn't too sure about this at first as it's narrated by two characters Hope half chaos demon and Lucas sorcerer and reluctant cabal heir who we met in previous books. However I did really enjoy it and am wondering if Lucas' narration has something to do with the coming Men of the Other World novel by Kelley. The story is as ever fast paced and flows pretty well, it involves more than one supernatural race, some intrigue a spot of violence and rumpy pumpy (so not for minors). Although I will say that there is a bit in which I just didn't believe and was proved right trying not to spoil here to probably even more cryptic than it needs to be).
Wicked - Gregory Maguire, I haven't seen the musical but have been assured by several people that it is brilliant so I cannot compare the book to the musical for those who have seen it and may want to read the book. I really enjoyed it and after reading both this and a couple of years ago his Confessions of an Ugly Sister I am hoping to get my grubby little hands on a copy of Mirror Mirror by him. Set in Oz in the years leading up to Dorothys arrival it tell the story of the Wicked Witch of the West, her family and the Good Witch of the North. Personally as a child I prefered the scary green witch with her flying monkeys to the pink feathery voiced incarnation of the Good Witch of the North and reading a version of her back story was brilliant. How she becomes the Wicked Witch of the West her life, her loves, her campaigns and sorrows all that lead up to her defining moment in the Wizard of Oz.
Eragon - Christopher Paloini I enjoyed the story and found towards the end that i couldn't put it down, unfortunately although fortunately for the author and all those who gain profit from this series it ends on a cliff hanger and you really want to read the next installment. I got this copy in a charity shop so will be haunting them until I find Book Two. The dragon is a believable character, it gets peeved, can be vain and secretative, I like this she is not all powerful. The boy has his moments too, he gets tired, peeved, angsty and has the bravado of a teenage boy. There is one other character I would like to know more about althgough the linked character is also very interesting, I will say no more for fear of spoiling.
Guilty Pleasures - Laurell K Hamilton, This was one of the shorter books, it is fairly addictive and fast paced, pretty goulish in parts and some interesting characters that I hope are expanded in futher books. Anti as a character seems pretty believable she has her flaws but considering how involved she is in the supernatural world seems pretty naive at times although this could be because she was only involved in her area mainly. Later books in the series may explain this further.
Noughts and Crosses Interesting concept, good plot, surprises. Great book
Heroes

I enjoy going to the Forsecue with my friends. Reading is a big part of my life and has been since I learnt to read. I will read practically anything that's put in front of me but my favourite stuff includes Harry Potter (as if you couldn't tell!), Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Other World series and loads more, check out the book section for what I've recently read. I'm also studying part time with the Open University for a History Degree which is an enjoyable hell, I love the studying part (it's structured whereas my normal approach to things can be haphazard and it's doubtful I would learn anything of relevance) but hate the essay writing and deadlines aspect. I'm coming to the end of the history of medicine module and this is my fifth year of studying with the OU.

The sorting hat says that I belong in Slytherinr!
Said Slytherin, "We'll teach just those whose ancestry is purest."
Slytherin students are typically cunning and hungry for power. Important members include Draco Malfoy (Harry's nemesis), Professor Severus Snape (head of Slytherin), and Lord Voldemort.
Hiya! Just thought I'd let you know we have 2 new songs up: Voldemort Killed the Hufflepuff Star and Buzz Worthy. Check them outtie and let us know what you think!
Thanks a lot! We're glad to hear that. We'll actually be recording Prince's Secret with the both of us and putting it up soon along with another new song.
Addictive is an understatement. I've barely been able to put the Twilight series down. It's easily become my second favourite series of all time. I really liked the film, too.
Hope you had a good christmas. Mine's been fantastic.
