This visually dynamic show includes 2 video projections working simultaneously together to create an unusual performance featuring the digital turntable mastery of JESSE SAUNDERS as he takes the audience and dance floor on a musical journey through the history to the present of HOUSE and Electronic Music.The show appeals to all demographics (18-64). House Music has been a part of our lives for more than 20 years. It’s influenced how we dance all over the world. That makes this unique show a sell-out in any venue. A never before experienced show that can’t be missed! It’s a LIVE DOCUMENTARY that the audience participates in and watches unfold before their very eyes. It’s educational and entertaining. A must see for anyone who loves to dance.
The timeline begins in the 1970’s and continue until present day. Utilizes the story from Jesse Saunders’ book “House Music…The Real Story” as the reference.
Video Projection: Utilizing Pioneer’s DVJ-1000s, Jesse manipulates spontaneously by hand the images from the digital player, which are broadcast on 2 screens. Manipulations include excerpts from his various documentaries depicting important events and text to outline the story, as well as visually stimulating images.
Featured Vocalist: BARBARA TUCKER Once during the lifespan of a musical style comes an extraordinary artist that captures the era. In Dance Music that is Barbara Tucker. The world-renowned, leading diva of dance music is much more than just a vocalist -- she lives to bring the spirit of love from the stage to the floor. Strong in her belief of the power of the stage, she performs from her pulpit, singing the message of everyday people, everyday love.
Once Barbara has blessed the stage, you are guaranteed to be touched, to feel joy, and to move to her inspirational message. The advanced technology that has been added to her live shows allows Barbara to go with the spirit of her audience, never giving the same show twice with nothing short of real.
Music has been produced with short text explanations to move through the timeline. The various tracks & songs played have been re-edited by Jesse to make the show audiophonically exciting!
Equipment: The show is predominantly self-contained. The Promoter only needs to secure risers, lighting and a professional sound system with monitors.
Mobile System Includes: (2) portable video screens (6’L x 8’W), (2) DVJ-1000s, Pioneer DJM 800 Mixer, Pioneer VSW-1 Video Mixer, (2) 2500 Lumen Projectors.
