Congratulations! We are excited that you have taken the first step into winning IFR Dance. First place winners in each category will receive $250, and 18+ will win $500!
This competition is open to anyone ages 5 and up. Dancers will be divided up into their age groups as follows; 5-7, 8-10, 11-14, 15-17, & 18+. The dancer may be male or female.
Registration will be between 10-11 a.m. on Feb. 24, 2006. You may choose to register early if you would like. You will need to contact John Cherry at 208-524-3801 and he will get back with you within 36 hours. You may also e-mail him at IFRDance@yahoo.com as well. Entrance fees are a low cost of $5.
Each dancer must have 2 dances ready to perform. The first is a preview dance and may not be longer than 2 minutes. The second one may not be longer than 5 minutes and will be the actual performance in front of a large audience. Each dancer must have his/her own music for each in C.D. form. Each dancer will perform at least one dance. Each dancer will be judged on a scale out of 1-10. Everything from originality to technicality will be taken in order. Each dancer will perform his/her first dance in front of a judge and will be graded. At the end of the all the dances for that age group, dancers will be given their score sheet, the finalists will be announced and then the top 6 will perform his/her final dance that evening. If you wish to participate, in this competition please expect to have 11 a.m.-to at least 2 p.m. available, and the evening from 6:00-10 p.m. at an TBA location for the performance.
Music of any sort may be brought, however if the song chosen has vulgar or inappropriate language it may not be brought. All dances are being accepted with everything from Abstract Dancing to Zapapeado.
